"I need a face lift."
Be honest.
How many times have you said that to yourself?
Usually while looking in the mirror.
Or after seeing a photo someone else has taken.
Most of the time it's said as a joke.
Sort of.
Because while you probably don't actually mean you want a face lift, you're usually noticing something.
Your jawline doesn't look the same.
Your skin feels different.
You look more tired than you feel.
Things have changed.
What's interesting is that "I need a face lift" can mean about twenty different things.
Sometimes it's skin quality.
Sometimes it's volume loss.
Sometimes it's a bad photo and terrible lighting.
Sometimes it's simply getting older.
And that's why there isn't one answer.
The thing that's bothering you isn't always what needs treated.
And the treatment people think they need isn't always the treatment that's going to help.
That's why aesthetics is rarely as straightforward as social media makes it look.
Although I still think "I need a face lift" must be one of the most common things women say to themselves in the mirror.
