Y Bont is a specialist day nursery & family centre which provides a unique range of services for children with disabilities, complex medical conditions and their families. We can offer help and advice to parents/carers and, if needed signpost to like-minded agencies. We provide services 51 weeks a year, 6 days a week and we are regularly inspected by Estyn, CIW and Environmental Health. At Y Bont
we believe that every child with a disability should be helped to fulfil their potential; we exist to help them do so. Since our opening in 1997, we have made it our mission to help children and their families in a range of ways through information, practical, social and emotional support. We know that one approach doesn’t fit all; each child is unique in their ability, personality and behaviour. Because of this, we follow a child-centred approach which recognises the individual needs of each child that attends Y Bont. Our staff are highly experienced, well trained and caring. We welcome children from 6 weeks up to 4 years old; they can be referred to us via their health professional, social services or directly by their parent/carer. Y Bont is a golden thread that runs through the children’s lives, for many we are a life-line. We are here for them from 6 weeks of age and with the provisions of after school club and our holiday club we can be a constant source of support to these children and their families’ right up until their teenage years.
