A couple of weeks ago for reasons beyond our control we found ourselves short staffed at Highley Pharmacy. Things took a turn for the worse when our delivery driver became temporarily out of action. Knowing that our delivery service is a lifeline to many of our customers we had to think on our feet. After a quick phone call to local councilor Dave Tremellen followed by an SOS on a whatsapp group within half an hour Dave Fulton from Highley First Responders walked into the branch offering his services.
We were astounded when we heard about the selfless service that Dave provides to the residents of Highley and surrounds and we really don't know what we would have done without him.
Dave wouldn't take anything for his services however asked we make a donation to Highley First Responders which we were more than delighted to do.

As well as help from Dave we would also like to say a special thank you to Pauline Tremellen for her help in our hour of need.

Dave made a return visit to the pharmacy today to accept a cheque from our Manager Nitan which gave us the opportunity to say thank you once again.

We are happy to say that our staff are now back up to full capacity and would also like to say thank you to Nitan, Fiona, Zoe, Ali, Claire, Abi, Dale, Lucy and Alex for working hard to get us back on track

It has been confirmed that people in England who attend hospital more than 3 times a month for at least 3 months will not have to pay for their car parking. People on dialysis, who attend hospital 3 times a week for treatment will be pleased to hear that this applies from 1 April

Here we have the lovely Liz and Lucy (who's causing her colleagues major lockdown hair envy at the moment 😭) at our branch in Craven Arms. The Lateral Flow Testing Service is up an running at our Shropshire and Birmingham branches. As we mark 1 year since a global pandemic was announced we continue to work towards keeping the spread of this virus at bay!

Over 50s are expected to receive their invites to get a Covid jab from next week, health bosses have revealed.

Following the government's confirmation of a return to a full national lockdown, it has been confirmed that healthcare remains exempt from the restrictions.

Kate Wheeler Podiatry services located in Highley Pharmacy continues to provide medical foot treatment within the Pharmacy and patient's homes. Strict adherence to PPE and infection control protocols will remain in place during each appointment. However, we would ask patients experiencing COVID symptoms or who have been in contact with anyone with symptoms in the last 14 days to please contact the practice to discuss delaying any upcoming appointments.

Please note other foot care providers (other than Podiatrists) may not be operating due to Government legislation. So I welcome any new clients that may be experiencing foot issues.

I am pleased to bring you some exciting news. On Monday 7th December Highley Pharmacy joined the MSN Lunts group of pharmacies.
This small, progressive family run group comprises of 9 community pharmacies across Shropshire and the West Midlands.
This move will allow Highley Pharmacy to continue serving Highley to the excellent standards you expect as well as enabling us to meet the demands of the modern NHS now and for many years to come.
The same team you know, Giles, Julie, Zoe, Nicky and Abi are here to serve you, and we hope you will welcome new delivery driver Ben and Pharmacist Fiona who will work alongside Giles.

We are a small group of Independent NHS Community Pharmacies serving the people around Shropshire, Birmingham & the Black Country.
