Turquoise Healing Crystal...

- Blue-to-Green gemstone that's been prized for thousands of years.

- It's a hydrated copper aluminium phosphate mineral, and it's colour comes mainly from copper (blue tones) and iron (green tones).

- One of the oldest known gemstones, used by ancient Egyptians, Persians, and Native American cultures.

- This gem has been used for making jewellery , statues, amulets and even architecture since before 5000 BC.

- Associated with personal protection and due to its dazzling colour, has historically been seen as a stone of good fortune.

- This stone lifts the spirits and promotes well-being by energising all chakra centres.

- Is the birthstone for December.

- Helps ease communication and self-expression.

- Wear as jewellery or keep close to the body to support inner peace and harmony, as well as easing uncertainty and anxieties in your life.

Beltane...

- Celebrated on the 1st May, Beltane is a traditional Gaelic festival that marks the beginning of summer.

- It has roots in ancient Celtic culture, especially in Ireland and Scotland.

- Beltane celebrates fertility, growth and the return of life after winter.

- It sits halfway between Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice.

- Beltane is one of the four major Gaelic festivals, alongside Samhain, Imbolc, and Lughnasadh.

- Traditionally, large fires were lit on hills to protect people and livestock.

- A European tradition associated with Beltane is Maypole dancing, symbolising fertility.

- Homes and doorways were decorated with flowers and greenery to welcome growth and ward off bad spirits.

- The festival was linked to love, sexuality, and the pairing of masculine and feminine energies.

- Today, Beltane ia all about celebrating life, warmth and abundance. A kind of joyful kickoff to Summer.

- Beltane is really about reconnecting with nature. Spend time outdoors and notice new growth.

- You could celebrate Beltane by bringing greenery/flowers indoors.

- You could light a candle and set an intention for growth, creativity, or something you want to ignite in your life.

- Want something more traditional, attend a mini fire ritual and let go of the past.

- Maybe, cook something seasonal, use fresh ingredients and share with others.

- Step out of the heaviness of winter into light, warmth and possibility. Open yourself to growth.

- Hold your rose quartz crystal during meditation. Think of a positive mantra, like 'I am loved' and repeat in your mind. Other mantra's could include 'I love unconditionally,' 'We are together in spirit,' 'I welcome love, peace & forgiveness,' 'My heart is open,' 'I am worthy of love,' 'Love flows through me.'

- You could place your rose quartz on your heart and take some deep breaths. You could also add a mantra whilst taking your deep breaths.

- You could wear as a necklace, where the rose quartz pendant sits closely to your heart.

- Cleanse your rose quartz crystal by rinsing in running water, then dry in a windowsill or outdoors in sunlight or moonlight ☀️🌙

The Wheel of the Year is inspired by ancient beliefs. It is made up of eight seasonal festivals. Lammas is one of these eight festivals which this year falls on Friday 1st August 2025. Lammas signifies the beginning of the harvest season, with the focus on the first grains like wheat and barley. One of the ways we can connect to earth around this time of year is to bake bread and share with loved ones or your local community. Another way we can celebrate Lammas is with gratitude; we give thanks to the earth and plant seeds from the gathered grain. While Lammas is rooted in ancient traditions, we can adapt the rituals to suit modern life. Not only can we bake bread and give gratitude, we can take time to create a nature alter and spend time in nature, appreciating the changing landscape.
