Every life tells a story worth celebrating, and the details matter.

When you’re arranging a funeral, it can be hard to think straight, never mind make decisions. That’s why we slow it down and keep it clear.

We take the time to learn who they were, what mattered to them, and what matters to you as a family.

Then we help you shape a goodbye that feels right, whether that’s simple and traditional, or more personal. The music, the words, the small touches, the order of the day.

Nothing performative, nothing templated, just a service that reflects your person and gives you space to be together.

If you want to talk it through, call 01262 425253 any time. We are here 24 hours a day.

There is no right way to grieve.

Some people cry. Some people go quiet. Some people keep busy because it is the only way they can get through the day.

You might feel “fine” one minute, then completely floored the next. None of that means you are doing it wrong. It means you are living through something that changes you.

Grief is not a straight line, and it is not something you can hurry along. It comes in waves, and it can look different from one day to the next.

If you need a steady hand, or you just need to ask a question, you can call us any time on 01262 425253.

We are here for you, day or night.

What’s the one thing you remember most about someone you’ve loved? 🤍

Usually, it’s not the big things, their laugh, a song on radio, the stories repeated around the table.

That’s why funerals matter so much.

They give family and friends the chance to come together, share memories, celebrate a life, and say goodbye in a way that feels personal and meaningful.

No two lives are the same - and no farewell should be either.

We are here to help you make the choices that are right for you and your family 01262 425253

Being a funeral director changes you.

It changes the way we walk into a room. We slow down. We listen properly. We notice the small things - who needs a minute, who is holding everyone else up, who has not eaten all day.

It changes the way we speak. We stop searching for “the right words” and focus instead on what is true, what is helpful, and what might make the next hour feel a little less impossible.

It changes what we carry home, too. The bravery of families. The love found in the smallest details. The privilege of being trusted with someone’s person and their story.

This work teaches you compassion in its truest form. It reminds you how important kindness, patience, and human connection really are.

We never take any of it lightly.

It is a privilege to stand beside families in their hardest moments, and we are here to do this with you, gently, thoughtfully, and properly. 🤍

One of the questions we’re often asked is how long the cremation process lasts.

The funeral service itself, where family and friends gather to say goodbye, is usually around 30–45 minutes depending on the arrangements made.

The actual cremation, which takes place afterwards, typically lasts around two hours on average.

This can vary depending on several factors, including the individual’s size and where the cremation falls during the day’s schedule.

For example, a larger individual may take longer, while later cremations in the day can sometimes be shorter due to the retained heat within the cremator.

Every situation is different, and timings are always handled with the utmost care, dignity, and respect.

We believe in helping families better understand the process and answering questions openly and compassionately.

If you have questions like this - practical, awkward, or simply “I do not know what I am meant to ask” - you can always ask us.

We will answer honestly, and without judgement 🤍 give us a call 01262 425253

If you’ve been holding back because you’re worried you’ll say the wrong thing, please don’t.

When someone is grieving, it’s not perfect words that help. It’s being remembered. It’s knowing they’re still held in other people’s minds, even after the funeral is over.

If you’re thinking of them, tell them. Even a small message can mean more than you realise:
“I don’t know what to say, but I’m thinking of you. No need to reply.”
