We will be storming our own Bridport Bastille on July 14th. A revolution of words, shot through with song.

Each person has 5 mins on the mic to read or perform in any genre. We love to hear flash fiction, short stories, poetry, stand up comedy, musings from 3am which woke you up and wouldn’t let you sleep until you scribbled them down... and don’t forget we welcome your musical contributions too. If it's your original material, we are keen to hear it!

7pm sign up, 7.30pm start at the Tiger Inn’s Alleybar in Barrack Street, Bridport. Tuesday 14th July. Please support the Tiger by buying a drink - they let us use the Alleybar for free.

It’s been an interesting Spring so far... Come and join us at Apothecary Spoken Word Open Mic on Tuesday May 12th, to tell us your thoughts on life, and “take the talking cure.”

We’d love to hear your original writing…… prose, poems, music, etc. Come and thrill us with your fabulous ideas!

An old Apothecarian, Jonah Corren (yes, you’ve guessed it, daughter of the delightfully barmy songstress Jane Silver-Corren) is running a whole poetry festival!! In Plymouth!! It’s called Sound and is running for 10 days 10th -19th April. We are all very impressed. Please spread the word…… (and attend if you can 😁)
