We are delighted by the announcement that the marvellous Marine Tavern in Kemptown will be holding a World AIDS Day fundraiser on Sunday 29th November, very kindly supporting The Sussex Beacon.

Hosted by the one and only Stephanie Von Clitz, the fun & frolics begin at 4pm, with a massive lineup featuring Sally Vate, Carmel Fleur, Lydia L'Scabies, Pearl Dean, Shallow Vera, Rococo Chanel, Lady Peony Pooh, Matt Young, Petit Blonde, Emerald Gardens, Laura, Mademoiselle Baguette, Charli Harper, DiDi Deville, Millie Cooke and Jester Tip 🤩 .

Not only that!!! There will also be a very special auction of paintings of the performers, created by the incredibly talented ArtyMikey, so pop it in your diary and tell your friends! 🎨

This World Mental Health Day, let’s challenge the stigma that can affect mental wellbeing.

According to Public Health England, people living with HIV are twice as likely as the general population to experience feelings of depression or anxiety, and more than 1 in 3 have been diagnosed with a mental health condition at some point.

Living with HIV is just one part of someone’s story. With effective treatment and the right support, anyone living with HIV can live a long, happy and healthy life.

But stigma and discrimination can affect how someone feels about themselves, their relationships and whether they feel comfortable talking about HIV or seeking support.

By challenging misconceptions, listening without judgement and creating supportive spaces, we can all help tackle HIV stigma.
