MAKE ’N’ BAKE: SUN PRINTS & SEAWEED
Cyanotype workshop + sea-themed guided sauna ritual 🪼
A morning of sea, sunlight, creativity and steam at the lagoon.
We’ll begin with 2 hours of cyanotype crafting, exploring this beautiful old photographic process using seaweed and botanicals gathered from the shoreline. Arrange your finds onto specially prepared paper, expose them to the September sunlight, then rinse and watch those characteristic deep ocean blues begin to emerge.
Each print is completely unique — sometimes crisp and detailed, sometimes watery, blurred and beautifully unpredictable.
Once our creations are hanging up to dry, it’s time to bake. We’ll head into the sauna for a 1-hour Saunadelic seaweed ritual, inspired by the restorative traditions of sea bathing and the abundance of our coastline.
Expect mineral-rich seaweed products, coastal aromas, heat and steam, with cooling dips between rounds.
Come make, bake and leave with your own handmade piece of the sea — and that unmistakable post-sauna glow.
