Our first experience creating a festival cafe! It filled us with so much joy watching people use the space we had birthed.

We felt that our intention with cacao was really translated into the space. Creating moments of slowness and presence amongst all the busyness and changing energies of the festival.

we found so many lovely people coming to relax, play, chat and sit down to set an intention. We brought lots of games, instruments and oracle cards to play with.. people came to rest in the womb cave.. ofcourse, lots of cacao was drunk and shared, alongside stories and laughter…

Our foraged herbal teas intrigued many and sparked many conversations around foraging and connecting more deeply to the land we live on and the medicine Mother Earth provides.

We also held three wonderful workshops over the weekend and the feedback we received really filled our hearts. We felt so held by the ancient oak trees encircling our circle in the shamanic woodland.

We couldn’t have done this without being the genius behind the structure and all the beautiful woodwork used on the stall. Also for providing the cozy womb cave, truffles and even sharing a spontaneous full moon womb ceremony.

Thanks also to .fungi for providing us with your amazing products to share on the stall.

Finally, a big thanks to freezone for having us be apart of your amazing festival for such a beautiful cause! As far as wellness and spiritual festivals go this one felt so real and authentic. Such a pleasure to serve here.

At Beltane, we mark the turning into summer: a time of fire, fertility, and life in full bloom.

This year at future roots, we chose to work more closely with the land around us. Instead of cacao, we served four herbal tonics made from plants locally foraged and harvested by us.
A gift from us to taste what is growing here, on this land, right now.

Each blend carefully curated by us, carried the energy of this season:

May Blossom - hawthorn flower, rose, and lilac
Clearing Dew - cleaver, lemon sorrel, and lemon balm
Golden Clarity - cowslip and rosemary
Hedgerow Tea - nettle, ground ivy, and baby bramble leaf

These plants are often overlooked, growing quietly in hedgerows, verges, and gardens. Beltane felt like the right moment to bring them forward to share their flavour, their medicine, and their stories.

Although Cacao is at the centre of what we do, our intention is to help reconnect people with the plants of this land, and to remember that everything we need is right beneath our feet.

Building a relationship with cacao and remembering your own medicine☕️🌿

As i spent this morning packaging cacao for you lovely people, the aroma of cacao filled my being.

The smell alone can have a profound affect if you are present and take the time to slow down and feel whats inside. Mama cacao always reminds us this.

When you build a relationship with cacao, you build a deeper relationship with yourself. You learn to connect to and relate to yourself in ways you may not have before. This is the beauty of cacao.

You dont need to drink cacao to connect with cacao. You can smell cacao, you can hold cacao, you can call on the spirit of cacao.

The most important things are presence, slowness and intention, and this extends to all areas of your life.
When we learn to slow down and be present with ourselves we see what we truly need. NOT what we think we need.
We see what we have been avoiding or where we have been over extending ourselves to please others.

This is the medicine. This is healing.

Now you dont need cacao for this but it can certainly help and remind you of this.

Cacao is a teacher, an ally, a friend, a guide.
Cacao shows us to the core of our being. To who we truly are and what we truly need so that we can be authentic and share our own medicine with others. 💚

EVERY SINGLE PERSON has their own medicine to share with the world. 🌎

April Events:

Slight update to april events schedule: no more ecstatic dance this month! Instead we will be adding some movement in on the 2nd April with

You've all been asking for it, so here it is.

We have a month full of cacao ceremonies in April. Combining Cacao with other modalities of medicine including: sound, song, breath and movement.

We are collaborating with some incredible facilitators to bring you the best experiences alongside our cacao ceremonies.☕️🍫

Starting the month with movement. have been moving up the chakras alongside salsa to help connect more deeply within and eachother. This class is focused on the heart chakra. We will be sharing a heart opening cacao ceremony to connect to your hearts and flow with ease.💃

Lalita .yoga and dimitree are coming all the way down from northamptonshire to share an incredible shamanic sound journey with us.
Think flutes, drums, sounds of the rainforest🪈🪘
I previously travelled up to share this with Lalitas community and it was so healing for everyone involved.✨️

The following week we will be doing a cacao ceremony and song circle/kirtan with . If you've been to wednesday songs for the heart, you already know how epic this is gonna be!🎶💚

On the 19th we will have an intimate cacao and breathwork ceremony with Ray . Awaken your inner warrior with cacao and holotropic breathwork. This will be a journey that ends at sunset when we stroll onto the beach with some tea and snacks to ground and integrate the session.💨☕️

Rosemary. Lavender & Cacao:
A journey Within✨️

On Saturday i facilitated a plant medicine journey with & .
This was just the beginning to a journey that lasted the whole night with concious connected breath by and a wonderful sound and movement journey by .music . The whole evening was profound and ended with a beautiful sharing of zimbabwean music and medicine by ⚡️

What makes this different from a regular cacao ceremony?☕️
In a cacao ceremony, you would hopefully be shown how to connect with cacao. Physically, spiritually and energetically. You would set intentions, sing to cacao and spend time turning inwards to listen to what mama cacao wishes to show you, how she wants to guide you or what she wants to teach.💭

For this journey, much of this was still the same. Setting intention, being present and having a deep respect for the medicine that we are drinking.
The difference is that cacao was here as an ally to help us to connect to the plants that we have on the land we live on. Not from some faraway land grown by people you will probably never meet.🛩

This journey was about remembrance. Remembering wisdom that has been lost or forgotten. Remembering ancestors that we have lost connection to and remembering the connection we have to ourselves and the earth beneath our very feet.👣

This is deep. This is about reconnection. This is about remembering the wisdom we have deep within. A reminder that we dont have to go anywhere or seek anything. We just have to listen to whats inside.❤️

Cacao is the heart centered ally. Rosemary allows us to remember whats inside. Lavender is the calm beauty that lies within us all.☕️🌱🌿

We have everything inside. The plants just help us to remember.✨️🙏

Today, day and night stand in perfect balance—a reminder of the harmony we seek within ourselves.
A display of the balance between masculine & feminine,
light & dark. ⚖️

The Spring Equinox marks a powerful time of renewal, growth, and transformation. As nature awakens from its winter slumber, bringing fresh growth and beautiful flowers, we too are invited to plant new seeds of intention. 🌱

Cacao, with its heart-opening properties and the deep presence that it brings, invites us to soften into this transition. Cacao allows us to honour both the light and shadow within ourselves. May this season bring clarity, joy, and deeper connection. ☕️
