We are Iki and Dr Chris, a Brighton-based wife and husband team with over 25 years of experience in healthcare between us. In our careers as an advanced clinical pharmacist prescriber and a doctor, we have developed the key attributes that enable us to provide all of our patients with a medical aesthetics experience that is of the highest quality.

​We have both trained as specialists in Medical Aesthetics with the Harley Academy in London; the first training academy to be accredited by the Joint Council of Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP). Having qualified to administer Botulinum toxin and dermal filler, we both embarked on a full Masters Course in Injectables for Aesthetic Medicine. This course is the first Ofqual regulated qualification in injectables, ensuring we are both trained to the highest standards of knowledge and safety. Iki has a lifelong passion for all things beauty. Her pharmaceutical background ensures Iki is always critically evaluating the quality and efficacy of products used at Aesthetic BTN, from Botulinum toxin and dermal filler to skin peels and skincare. Dr Chris has a background in anaesthesia and critical care. His training in a heavily procedure-based medical specialty has provided an ideal platform for the transition into injectable treatments for medical aesthetics. He is experienced in the critical appraisal of both drugs and equipment, ensuring that only the highest grade products and equipment are used is our clinic.

Dull skin tends to get met with more product rather than less, which usually makes things worse rather than better.
The barrier needs protecting, not stripping, and renewal takes weeks rather than days. It’s a slower answer than most skincare marketing promises, but it’s the one that actually holds up. If you’re not sure whether your routine is helping your skin or working against it, that’s worth a proper look.

The word laser puts a lot of people off before they’ve even asked what it actually involves.

MOXI sits at the gentler end, working with the skin’s own renewal process rather than removing the
surface, which is why the downtime tends to be manageable rather than disruptive.

It’s still a healing process though, and we’d rather talk you through what to expect than let you find out on day two.

Three treatments. One carefully documented result.

These before and after photographs were taken using our OBSERV 520x clinical imaging system, with consistent lighting and positioning. There are no filters or retouching.

This is the standard we hold ourselves accountable to when documenting results. If we are going to assess whether a treatment has worked, the comparison needs to be as accurate and transparent as possible.

Our patient was so pleased with the improvement that she asked us to share her photographs. Her pigmentation appears visibly reduced, with a more even tone and noticeable improvement in the overall quality of her skin.

Her treatment record:

• Three sessions combining BBL HEROic and MOXI
• Treatments performed between 2 April and 5 June
• Follow-up photographs taken on 1 July
• 1% retinol introduced as part of her home skincare plan
• No other in-clinic treatments during this period

One treatment can produce a worthwhile improvement for some patients. A planned course allows us to work more comprehensively towards a corrective result. The right approach depends on your skin, your priorities and what feels manageable for you.

It’s tempting to ask for the treatment a friend had, or the one that’s trending, but skin doesn’t work that way.

The same concern can have entirely different causes depending on your history and how your skin has behaved over time, which is why the plan always comes before the treatment, not the other way round.

Sometimes that means the treatment you had in mind. Sometimes it means something else entirely, or nothing at all for now.

Pigmentation and redness usually build up gradually, which is often why they’re hard to notice clearly day to day.

Light based treatments like BBL HEROic can help with that kind of unevenness, but only for the right skin and ideally as part of a proper plan rather than a one off fix.

The assessment stage matters just as much as the treatment itself.

Noaem doesn't often share other people's words, but when Oliver Blackaby from The HAIR SALON Brighton & Hove came in for his first BBL HEROic and MOXI session and sent us this, we had to.

A reintroduction for those who have joined us recently.

We are Iki and Chris, the husband-and-wife team who founded and run Noaem Skin in Hove.

I’m Iki, an independent prescribing pharmacist with more than 20 years of clinical experience. My career has taken me through hospital and community pharmacy into general practice, before skin health became the focus of my clinical work.

Chris is a doctor who qualified from St George’s Hospital Medical School London in 2012. His background in anaesthesia and critical care has shaped the way he works: clinically rigorous, highly attentive to safety and always mindful of the person behind the procedure.

Although many patients know Chris for his injectable work, his role at Noaem is much broader. We made the decision to introduce BBL HEROic and MOXI together, following extensive research into the technology and the evidence behind it. Chris is fully involved in our laser treatment planning and the treatments themselves. We regularly assess cases and make clinical decisions together.

That shared approach is fundamental to Noaem. Every patient is seen and treated by one of us and the clinic’s treatment protocols are developed between us. There is no separate team of therapists and nobody is passed from an initial consultation to someone they have never met.

We opened Noaem because we wanted to create the kind of clinic we would choose ourselves. One where patients are given time, understand the reasoning behind their plan and never feel pressured into treatment.
