Dear Yogi’s Namaste one and all, blessings of love, light and gratitude to you all.

This months quote describes the arrival of June as a time of overwhelming abundance in nature. It beautifully captures the sensory overload and sense of wonder that June brings.

Each day fills you with a feeling of pure, unbridled, and innocent wonder. Just as a child in a toy shop is overwhelmed by choices, colours, and the excitement of potential, not knowing which toy to look at or play with first, now as an adult, the world is your toy shop. What’s your earliest memory of that first summer when you had the freedom to explore your surroundings?

June is not just beautiful, but awe-inspiring, full of life, and precious. It implies that Earth itself is alive with activity where everything is blooming, growing, and thriving simultaneously.

It’s at its peak with long, warm days, lush greenery, blooming flowers, and bustling wildlife, making the natural landscape feel like a treasure trove of new experiences.

It is a month of magical, overwhelming, and joyful abundance, where nature provides endless wonder, beauty, and excitement at every turn, channel your inner child and get rolling around in all that mother nature is so generously offering you.

Blessings, stay humble, always be kind, keep breathing deeply, own your own peace and joy, if you never try you’ll never know, namaste.

This month’s posture is Mermaid pose which is a variation of King pigeon pose, “Eka padarajakapotasana”. In Sanskrit, ‘Eka’ means one, ‘pada’ means foot or leg, ‘raja’ means king and ‘kapota’ means pigeon and ‘asana’ means posture.

Mermaid pose is an invigorating hip stretch, heart opener and backbend with a bit of balance. This posture offers great opportunity to go deeper in-between pigeon preparation and full king pigeon pose.

As the name suggests, Mermaid pose beautifully expresses the balanced state of serenity, tranquillity and freedom, just like the mermaid playing in the calm ocean freely, we are looking forward to practicing this special pose with you all this month in as many classes as possible.

🌊The benefits of Mermaid pose include:

🧜‍♀️opens hips, chest and shoulders
🧜‍♀️stretches thighs, quadriceps, groin, back and chest
rejuvenates the spine
🧜‍♀️helps boost energy in your body and mind
🧜‍♀️strengthens the core and pelvic floor muscle

Dear Yogi’s Namaste one and all, blessings of love, light and gratitude to you all.

This month’s quote resonates deep to my core, we often treat happiness like something that might only arrive if the stars align. But happiness is not a lottery win, it’s not a roll of the dice. It’s a deliberate creation, an act of will, awareness and courage. Many of us fall into the trap of conditional happiness.

“I’ll be happy when…”

The issue with this mindset is that it locks happiness to an outcome. When we start believing happiness depends on external factors we surrender our emotional freedom to the unpredictable nature of life. When you understand that happiness is a choice, life transforms from chaos to clarity. You begin to see that your emotional state is a reflection of how you interpret the world, not how the world behaves towards you.

Don’t however get things twisted, this doesn’t mean ignoring pain, pretending everything is fine, or denying hardship. Life will always throw those things your way. It means choosing your focus, choosing your meaning, and choosing your response even when life feels unfair.

Choosing happiness is not a one-time decision; it’s a daily practice. It’s the quiet act of saying:

“I can’t always control what happens, but I can control how I show up each and every day.”

That’s where your true power is.

Real happiness is built through intentional habits: gratitude, optimism, connection, and purpose, not random emotional bursts. They are cultivated states of mind that strengthen over time, like any muscle.

Choosing happiness doesn’t mean life gets easier. It means you get stronger.

It takes effort, discipline and consistency to wake up every day and choose joy over bitterness, gratitude over resentment, and presence over regret.
It’s far easier to let emotions lead us than to lead our emotions. But every choice to seek peace, understanding, or positivity is an act of quiet rebellion against chaos. Happiness is a moral choice, a decision to rise above circumstance and become the architect of your own mind.

The truth is simple yet profound: happiness doesn’t happen to you; it happens because of you, keep up the good work.

This months posture is ragahamsasana B. Royal Flamingo Pose B. The Sanskrit word “raja” means king or royal, “hamsa” means swan or flamingo and “asana” means pose. Looks like a standing version of Marichyasana A.

This posture is inspired by the sure footed and elegantly balanced flamingo, the forward bend of the torso can be compared to this majestic bird lowering its beak into the water. The intense forward fold mimics an offering.

👑The benefits of royal flamingo pose B include:

🦩significantly enhances overall balance
🦩strengthens the grounded leg’s ankle, calve and knee while toning the quadriceps
🦩stretches the quadriceps, hamstrings, shoulders, and hips
🦩boosts mental focus, concentration, and cognitive control
🦩helps correct postural imbalances
🦩provides a relaxing and de-stressing effect

Dear Yogi’s Namaste one and all, blessings of love, light and gratitude to you all.

This month’s quote is ideal for Easter and serves as a gentle reminder that pursuing your goals with determination is important, but it’s risky to ignore the other opportunities that may come your way.

Focusing on one outcome can be powerful, yet if you become blind to the myriad of possibilities around you, you might miss out on something wonderful.

The heart of this quote is about balance. While a healthy focus helps us achieve our ambitions, tunnel vision can limit us. Keeping an open mind allows us to notice new chances.

So, as you celebrate Easter and perhaps tuck into a chocolate egg or two, remember: it’s wise to keep your options open, and you never know what opportunities might hatch!

Blessings, stay humble, always be kind, keep breathing deeply, own your own peace and joy, if you never try you’ll never know, namaste.
