I wasn’t looking for a sign.

I simply decided to leave my comfort zone, choose a random place on the map, and follow my curiosity.

That journey led me to a church graveyard, a hidden labyrinth, and on the drive home, as I contemplated a sunrise trip to Glastonbury, I was greeted by an eagle soaring overhead and a rabbit waiting by the roadside.

It made me reflect on the symbolism of all three:

🦅 Eagle — Rise above your current circumstances. See the bigger picture. Trust your vision.

🐇 Rabbit — Stay grounded. Trust your instincts. Something new may be growing beneath the surface.

🌀 Labyrinth — Life’s path is rarely a straight line. Every twist and turn can still lead you exactly where you need to be.

Across many cultures, these symbols are connected to spiritual awareness, intuition, pilgrimage, transformation, and trust.

Perhaps the message isn’t to find all the answers.

Perhaps it’s simply to keep walking the path with an open heart.

Sometimes Spirit speaks through words.

Sometimes it speaks through wonder.

Have you ever dreamed of lightning?

Not the kind that simply appears in the sky, but lightning that seems to carry a message.

Across many spiritual traditions, lightning is seen as a symbol of sudden awakening, divine communication, revelation, and transformation. It illuminates what has been hidden and brings into consciousness what can no longer be ignored.

In dreams, lightning often arrives during periods of change. It may be highlighting a truth you’ve been avoiding, a new path opening before you, or a deeper power within yourself that is beginning to awaken.

In the Bible, lightning is associated with the presence and power of God. In African and Caribbean traditions it can represent divine force and spiritual authority. Celtic traditions viewed lightning as sacred illumination, while many Indigenous cultures see it as a symbol of awakening, protection, and renewal.

Perhaps the question isn’t, “Why did I dream of lightning?”

Perhaps the question is, “What part of my life is being illuminated right now?”

It is commonly visualized as bright white, golden, or magenta.

Today I experienced something that filled me with pure childlike wonder.

I was sitting quietly by a riverbank when, for the first time in my life, a Kingfisher flew past me.

For a few brief seconds, the world seemed to stop. The flash of electric blue. The speed. The beauty. The awe of witnessing something so rare and wild in its natural home.

In many spiritual traditions, Kingfisher is seen as a messenger of clarity, patience and divine timing. It waits, watches and then moves with precision when the moment is right. It reminds us that we don’t have to force life. Sometimes our role is simply to be present enough to notice the magic when it arrives.

What struck me most wasn’t any symbolic meaning. It was the feeling. The sudden joy. The sense of connection. The reminder that nature still has the power to take our breath away.

Perhaps that is Kingfisher medicine.

To slow down.

To pay attention.

To remember that beauty still exists all around us.

And that sometimes Spirit speaks not through words, but through moments that leave us standing in wonder.

The Doorway Between Worlds

Dreams often speak in symbols, and doors are one of the most powerful symbols we encounter. A door can represent an opportunity, a choice, a transition, or an invitation into a deeper part of ourselves.

Have you ever dreamed of knocking on a door? This can reflect a longing for change, guidance, or access to something that feels just out of reach. It may be a new chapter calling your name.

Leaving a door open in a dream can suggest possibility, vulnerability, unfinished business, or a willingness to welcome new experiences into your life. Sometimes it asks us to consider what energies we are allowing into our inner world.

Meeting someone at a doorway or threshold is especially significant. Across many spiritual traditions, the threshold is seen as a sacred space where worlds meet. The Root Chakra is the foundation upon which all other growth is built.

When this energy centre is balanced, we feel safe, grounded and connected to our place in the world. We trust ourselves, trust life and move forward with greater confidence and stability.

Many of our deepest fears live here. Fear of rejection. Fear of not having enough. Fear of being unsupported. The Root Chakra invites us back into our bodies, back into the present moment and back into a relationship with the Earth.

From a Buddhist perspective, true security does not come from controlling life. It comes from cultivating presence, acceptance and trust in what is. Like the roots of a tree, our deepest strength often develops quietly beneath the surface.

Have you ever dreamed of a fence, a gate, a wall, or some kind of boundary?

In dreams, these symbols are rarely just physical objects. They often appear when we are being asked to look at the boundaries in our lives, our energy, our relationships, and even our spiritual growth.

A fence can represent protection, wisdom, and healthy limits. It can also reveal where fear, old wounds, or self-doubt may be preventing us from stepping into something new.

Were you standing outside the fence looking in?
Were you trapped behind it?
Were you climbing over it?
Or did you discover a gate waiting to be opened?

Across many spiritual traditions, boundaries are seen as sacred thresholds. They mark the place where one chapter ends and another begins. They remind us that not everyone should have access to our energy, but they also ask us to consider whether we are keeping ourselves confined by walls that no longer serve us.
