Please excuse the deafening quietness on my page here for the past few months.

Unfortunately, my father Roger Butler, aka “Chucklefoot” the one-man-band passed away in the late Summer.

I have still been busy fulfilling my obligations to client wedding days and trials during one of the busiest years to date, and I want to thank so many of you for your kindness in the run up to and on one of the most important days of your lives.

Today’s Maid of Honour literally couldn’t believe her eyes and gave me the biggest hug after seeing her face after makeup 🥹 Day to day she said she feels like she looks really young for her age because of her skin, so I sorted that right out with a combination of Estée Lauder concealer, Mehron foundation and Ben Nye translucent setting powder. She truly loved it 🥰

These before and after’s from today show how different makeup will look with different lighting! The first is naturally lit by a window, and the second is with a regular, camera flash 📸 I always show clients their completed look in natural lighting, with shade behind them much like you get stood back slightly in a doorway. This is because flash & studio lighting can bleach out and blur the skin, therefore not giving an accurate reflection of what it actually looks like in the ‘real world’, when you definitely won’t be walking around lit from every angle!✨
