Today my youngest daughter turns 30. đđ
As I celebrate this milestone, my heart is full of gratitude.
Thirty years ago, I became her mum. Little did I know that one of my greatest teachers in life would be this little girl. Through her health challenges, she has shown me what courage, resilience and determination truly look like.
The journey hasnât always been easy. There have been tears, frustrations, setbacks and countless questions. But there have also been moments of hope, discovery, laughter and growth. Every challenge has taught us something valuable.
She is the reason I do what I do.
My passion for learning, researching and understanding complex chronic illnesses, including EDS, was born from wanting to help her live the fullest life possible. That passion continues today as I search for new knowledge, new insights and new ways to support not only her, but every person who walks through my clinic doors.
One thing this journey has taught me is that healing isnât about fighting against your body. Itâs about learning to listen to it, understand it and work with it. Itâs about embracing your challenges without allowing them to define you. Itâs about discovering your strengths, celebrating your uniqueness and finding ways to shine despite the obstacles.
To everyone living with EDS, chronic illness, chronic fatigue, pain or health challenges of any kind: never underestimate your resilience. Your diagnosis is only one part of your story. You are so much more than your symptoms.
Today, I celebrate my daughter and all that she is. And I celebrate every one of you who continues to show up, keep learning, keep adapting and keep believing that life can still be beautiful.
Happy 30th Birthday, my darling. Love you đĽ°
Thank you for inspiring my purpose every single day. â¤ď¸
