Do You Get Shoulder Pain When Lifting Your Arm?

This is one of the most common shoulder problems I see.

It might happen when you:

Reach overhead
Put on a coat
Lift something to the side
Train in the gym
Sleep on the painful shoulder
Reach behind your back

Most people assume it is just “tightness” or “getting older”.

But shoulder pain when lifting the arm can often be linked to poor shoulder blade control, rotator cuff weakness, upper back stiffness, shoulder impingement-type irritation, or the neck and traps doing too much work.
