These are the things with
I Standards & Boundaries
What are signs of weak boundaries?
Signs of weak boundaries include chronically saying yes when you want to say no, feeling responsible for other people's emotions, and building quiet resentment
Boundaries & Behavioural Signs
People-pleasing: Agreeing to tasks or social events you dread just to avoid disappointing others.
Over-explaining: Offering long, defensive justifications when declining a simple request instead of stating a simple "no".
Absorbing moods: Taking on the emotional states or bad moods of people around you as if they are your own.
Oversharing: Revealing deeply personal details too quickly to new acquaintances before real trust is established.
Silent mistreatment: Biting your tongue or failing to speak up when someone treats you poorly or disrespectfully.
Standards & Behavioural Signs
Clear boundaries: You easily say no to behaviors that drain or disrespect you, and people know what you will or will not accept.
Focus on values over surface traits: You look for emotional availability, consistency, honesty, and respect instead of just focusing on status or appearance.
Controlling your own actions: Instead of trying to force or change someone else's behavior, you respond by choosing what you will accept or when to walk away.
Consistency in treatment: You expect steady, reciprocal effort over time rather than falling for an intense, immediate impression.
Self-respect: You refuse to shrink your needs or compromise your peace just to keep someone around.
If standards are high yet boundaries were weak.
Then your standards are just what your self-respect looks like to the outside world.
Sometimes high standards aren’t arrogance…they’re the wisdom that comes from knowing what it cost you to accept less
Thee moment I don't feel prioritized by those who
I prioritize the most,I quietly step away adjusting my distance. I don’t remove anyone from my life to teach them no lessons, I remove them once I've finally learned mine, of who they really are.
