What a time at 🚀

I don’t do many formal events (the time eludes me 😮‍💨) but, despite biblical weather conditions, some of the steepest climbs I’ve faced and lugging a weighted ruck around… this was a lush day.

At the top of each gruelling climb was a view that made it worthwhile, and I loved having little chats with the other runners on the way round and egging each other on. For me it was a reminder that ultimately movement should be like this was for me - joyful (I appreciate this is absolutely not everyone’s idea of joyful movement but I guess I’m a sucker for organised type 2 fun - look how happy I am!! 😂)

Thank you so much to all the organisers and people that braved the wind and rain on Saturday to cheer us on and make it such a great experience. I’m sure I’ll be back 🧡

Healing from disordered eating, poor body image and/or diet culture isn’t always linear. Old thoughts resurface, even years later - but we don’t have to believe or act upon every thought our brains offer us.

The things I once trained for were mostly about changing or “fixing” my body. And sometimes (though thankfully, much more rarely now) I still stumble and fall back into this mindset.

But moments like carrying my sleeping toddler up a cliff remind me that strength, energy and capability matter so much more.

That’s the perspective I try to bring to my coaching too. Your body is not just something to be looked at. It’s something that carries you through your life. ❤️

Empowering women through exercise looks like this 🥹
(except maybe for the puking part…)

When you stop treating the gym/fitness as a tool for women to shrink themselves, it becomes something so much more powerful.

I get to watch women build confidence, strength, and a whole new relationship with exercise and their bodies — realising it’s actually there to build them up, making them stronger and more ready for the lives they want to be able to live.

Frankly, it’s the bloody best.

Real health should support your life… not consume it.

More and more, this is how I approach my coaching, my training and my career & life as a whole ✨

(Also lol one day I’ll learn to take to the camera and not off to the side of the room)

A pretty compelling reason to stay strong (and self employed) 🏞️🧗‍♀️✨

Took the boy out on a hike (all 14kgs of him plus water and picnic) with the backpack to explore the Mendips and all that we’re flipping THRILLED to have on our doorstep 🥹 some verrrrry steep climbs on the way up were a real test of strength but it was so worth it for the views… and the surprise ponies!

Adventure time with Rudy might just make Monday my new favourite day ✨

Done much jumping lately? If the answer is “no ma’am” …here’s a few compelling reasons you should start ✨

1) Jump training strengthens your bones. One of the top causes of death and disability in older women is osteoporosis so if we want to future proof our bodies - jump!
2) Improves balance and stability which reduces injury risk
3) Gets your heart rate gooooooin so great as part of a high intensity/sprint interval workout which, in turn, improves metabolic rate and overall strength & fitness

It doesn’t have to be a box jump or anything high to start with, any form of jumping will do. Pogo jumps, tuck jumps, long jumps, jump squats… whatever feels most accessible for the level you’re at. Let’s get powerful 🤜

I was 14 when I decided to stop eating.
It felt totally logical to me as a teen didn’t believe I could be happy, loved or successful unless I was *skinny*.
Now I’m a mum, I want to do all I can to raise confident, resilient children who never place conditions on their worth.
I’ve written about it on Substack, cause that’s a thing I’ve started doing.

One of my fave meals of the day (it’s definitely in my top 3 🙃)

Lots of my clients struggle with breakfast ideas and how to get a nice dose of protein first thing (something I highly recommend to set you up well for the day). Here are a few of my breakfasts from last week:

1) porridge (made with soy milk if you’re vegan or don’t do well with dairy as it’s higher in protein) and topped with a bit of greek yog or kefir, berries and nut butter
2) bagel with scrambled egg, avo and optional spinach and sauerkraut for extra goodness
3) overnight oats made with greek yog, chia seeds and flaxseeds, topped with blueberries & sunflower seeds
4) yoghurt bowl (this was a mix of skyr and kefir) with banana, oats, almonds & berries

No super processed foods and not trying to “cut calories” - just focussing on nutrient dense, whole foods as much as possible. Happy breakfasting!!

We’re often told to add more for our health…
more supplements, more workouts, more hacks 🫠
But sometimes feeling better is about reducing, not adding (but i’m not talking about calories!)

- Less stress (easier said than done, I know).
- Less screen time (your eyes and brain will thank you).
- Less ultra-processed food (progress > perfection here).

We really don’t need extremes, guilt or shaming.
Just small (hopefully collective) shifts that add up over time.

Save this for later + tell me — which one would you start with?
