Equine Reflections CIC

Equine Reflections CIC I have over 15 years of experience working with children in a primary school setting. I am also certified in First Aid.

Equine Reflections uses innovative equine assisted learning (EAL) programmes to help children and young people raise self esteem, build confidence, understand emotions and develop positive relationships through activities and interactions with horses. Following my training as a Learning Mentor, I worked extensively with children experiencing Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. I subsequently qualified as an Equine Facilitated Learning Coach and currently support children with special educational needs through this approach. I hold an up-to-date Enhanced DBS certificate and have completed Advanced Safeguarding Training, which I renew annually. Equine Reflections CIC is a registered Community Interest Company. I comply fully with all licensing requirements set out by North Somerset Council. This includes maintaining current Risk Assessments, Safeguarding Policies, Health and Safety Policies, and detailed procedures for the care and welfare of the horses and ponies involved in our programmes.

🎉🐴 Happy 19th Birthday, Kokomo! ☀️🌑

Our beautiful Kokomo celebrated her 19th birthday yesterday — and she continues to give so much to so many. 💕

Through her gentle presence, patience and wisdom, Kokomo plays such a special role in our equine-assisted learning sessions. She helps create a space where people can slow down, connect, build confidence, regulate emotions and discover new things about themselves.🐴💫

And what better way to celebrate this very special girl than with a partial solar eclipse on her birthday! 🌞🌘✨

Happy 19th birthday, Kokomo. Thank you for all the moments of connection, learning and joy you give so generously. ❤️

Highly recommend!

Today we’re celebrating Equine Assisted Services Day! 🐴💙

Horses have an incredible way of helping us learn, grow, and connect. Through equine-assisted learning, they teach us about communication, confidence, resilience, emotional awareness, and trust—all without saying a word.

Every session is a reminder that growth doesn’t always happen in a classroom. Sometimes it happens in the quiet moments beside a horse, where honesty, patience, and connection create opportunities for lasting change.

Today, we celebrate not only these amazing horses but also every participant, family, volunteer, and supporter who believes in the power of equine-assisted services to make a difference.

Thank you for being part of our journey and for helping us create a space where people can learn, heal, and thrive alongside our incredible equine partners.

Happy Equine Assisted Services Day! 🐎✨

One of the most rewarding, and bittersweet, parts of Equine Assisted Learning is watching our young people grow in confidence, resilience, and self belief. There comes a point when they no longer need our sessions in the same way, and while it’s always sad to say goodbye, it’s also something to celebrate.

Our Horses and ponies have a remarkable way of helping people discover their strengths, build trust and develop the skills they need to move forward. Seeing someone leave because they’ve reached their goals is a reminder of why we do what we do.

So this week, we’re saying goodbye with grateful hearts. Thank you for allowing us and our incredible horses to be part of your journey. We’re so proud of how far you’ve come and excited to see where your path leads next.

Every ending is also a new beginning 🩵🐴
