Brilliant writing. thank you Daniel Lismore
Why are people LGBTQIA+
Read This And Then Tell Me It Is Not Biology.
Nobody taught you this in school.
If the biology of human development had been taught properly, honestly, without the politics that surrounds it, the arguments being made right now in parliaments and courtrooms and newspaper columns would have nowhere to stand. The science dismantles every single one of them. Not partially. Completely.
So here it is. What actually happens when a human being is built.
We All Start the Same
For the first six weeks in the womb every human embryo is identical. There is no male. There is no female. There is just a developing organism with the same cells, the same structures and the same potential in every direction. Your future body has not committed to anything yet. It is waiting.
Then something begins.
Hormones start flooding the developing environment. A cascade of biological signals begins shaping what the body will become. But here is the thing that changes the entire conversation about human identity, s*xuality and development.
It does not happen all at once.
It happens in stages. Separate stages. With separate hormonal environments. And those stages can produce different outcomes in the same body.
The Two Windows That Explain Everything
The ge****ls develop first. A hormonal surge triggers the differentiation of reproductive anatomy. That process happens, completes and stops.
Then weeks later, in a completely separate biological event on a completely separate hormonal timeline, the brain begins its own developmental process.
Two different windows. Two different hormonal environments. Not locked together. Not guaranteed to produce identical outcomes.
In most people they align. In some people they do not.
When the hormonal environment present during brain development differs from the one that shaped the ge****ls, the result is a person whose neurological sense of who they are does not match the body they were born into.
That is a transgender person.
Not a confused person. Not a person following a trend. Not a person influenced by social media or progressive ideology. A person whose brain developed in one hormonal environment and whose body developed in another because that is what happened in the womb before they took a single breath outside it.
The Proof You Are Already Walking Around With
You want evidence that the human body carries the architecture of both developmental possibilities simultaneously because of how this process works in separate stages.
Look at a man’s chest.
Every man alive has ni***es. Ni***es that do nothing. Ni***es that will never serve any reproductive function for the rest of their lives. They developed during that early undifferentiated window before the hormonal cascade began. By the time the testosterone surge arrived the ni***es were already there. They stayed. The body built them during the period when it had not yet committed to a direction and then the window closed.
Nobody debates this. Nobody holds a public inquiry into male ni***es. Nobody says men with ni***es are going through a phase or have been influenced by activist ideology. It is just accepted as a quirk of human development and everyone moves on.
But it is the same biological process.
A brain developing in a different hormonal environment from the one that shaped the ge****ls because those two things happen in separate windows with separate hormonal timelines is not mysterious. It is the same kind of developmental overlap that put ni***es on every man reading this.
One gets laughed off as a curiosity. The other gets turned into a parliamentary debate.
That is politics. It is not science.
What the Brain Research Shows
Deep in the base of the brain sits the hypothalamus, a small structure that regulates some of the most fundamental aspects of human experience. Inside it there is a region called the bed nucleus of the stria terminalis.
Research starting in the 1990s, replicated across multiple countries and multiple independent research teams over three decades, consistently finds that this structure differs between transgender and non-transgender people. In transgender women it resembles the structure found in non-transgender women rather than non-transgender men.
This holds whether or not the person has received any hormone treatment.
The differences are there before any medication. Before any medical transition. Before any intervention of any kind. They are developmental. They were established in the womb.
A 2018 study scanned the brains of transgender teenagers before any treatment and found their brain connectivity patterns matched their experienced identity rather than their birth-assigned s*x.
These were children. Their brains had already developed this way. Nothing that happened after birth caused it. The womb did it.
The Genetics
Identical twins share almost all of their DNA. If being transgender were purely a product of social influence or personal choice the concordance rate between identical twins would be no higher than between two strangers.
It is not. Studies show around 39 percent of identical twin pairs where one is transgender have both twins who are transgender. In fraternal twins who share only half their DNA the rate is significantly lower.
DNA does not follow trends. DNA does not get influenced by social media. The fact that it follows this pattern points directly at a genetic component to something that is being argued about as though it were a lifestyle choice.
Genetic research has also found specific variants in hormone receptor pathways appearing at higher frequencies in transgender populations across multiple independent studies. No single gene is responsible, just as no single gene is responsible for being left-handed or having a particular blood type. But the genetic architecture is there and it is consistent and it points at biology every time.
What Happens in the Womb Changes Everything
There is a condition called congenital adrenal hyperplasia in which a female fetus is exposed to elevated levels of androgens during the critical developmental window. People born with this condition consistently show higher rates of gender nonconformity and transgender identity than the general population.
That is a direct, measurable, documented link between what happens hormonally in the womb and who a person understands themselves to be.
There was also a synthetic hormone called diethylstilboestrol prescribed to pregnant women between the 1940s and 1970s. Decades of research on people exposed to it in the womb showed higher rates of gender variance compared to unexposed populations.
The womb. The hormones. The developmental window. All of it pointing in the same direction.
This is not ideology. This is endocrinology.
The People the Binary Cannot Account For
Around 1.7 percent of the global population is born inters*x. That is people born with chromosomal, hormonal or anatomical variations that do not fit the standard definition of male or female.
In the United Kingdom that is over a million people. Globally it is around 130 million. More people than the entire population of Japan whose bodies the strict binary was never designed to explain and still cannot.
Androgen insensitivity syndrome produces people with XY chromosomes who develop fully female bodies because their cells cannot respond to testosterone. They are raised as girls. They identify as women. They are women in every observable physical sense. The chromosome argument says they are male. No doctor who has ever treated one would describe them that way.
Klinefelter syndrome produces people with XXY chromosomes. Turner syndrome produces people with a single X. Mosaic conditions produce people whose different cells carry different chromosomal combinations within the same body. These have been documented in medical literature for over a century.
The binary was always a simplification. Biology never agreed to it.
Gay and Bis*xual People
The same science applies.
Brain structure studies have found consistent differences in the hypothalamus between gay and straight men that appear developmental in origin. Twin studies show higher concordance rates for same-s*x attraction in identical twins than fraternal twins. Prenatal hormone research links the hormonal environment in the womb to s*xual orientation outcomes.
Sexual orientation develops. Before birth. In the same biological processes that shape everything else about who a person fundamentally is.
Conversion therapy does not work because there is nothing to convert. You cannot change what was established in the womb through prayer or punishment or any psychological technique. Every major medical and psychiatric body in the world has said so. The evidence is not ambiguous. It causes harm. It changes nothing about orientation. It only causes damage to the person subjected to it.
It Has Always Been This Way
If any of this were a modern invention it would not appear in documents written thousands of years before social media existed.
The Hijra community of South Asia has been documented for over four thousand years. They appear in the Ramayana. Two-Spirit people held recognised roles as healers and leaders across hundreds of distinct Indigenous North American nations before European contact. The Fa’afafine of Samoa have been part of Samoan culture for centuries. The Galli of ancient Rome lived as women within accepted religious life two thousand years ago. Medieval European records document people living outside the identity assigned at birth long before any modern concept of transition existed.
Every culture. Every continent. Every era of human history. Independently. Without contact with each other.
Modern science did not create these people. Modern science developed the tools to understand what every human culture on earth had already recognised.
What the Medical World Has Concluded
The World Health Organisation removed transgender identity from its list of mental disorders in 2019.
The American Medical Association agrees it is not a disorder. The American Psychiatric Association agrees. The British Psychological Society agrees. The Royal College of Psychiatrists agrees. The Endocrine Society agrees. The World Professional Association for Transgender Health agrees.
These organisations represent the global medical consensus. They do not reach consensus by accident or through ideology. They reach it through evidence. And the evidence here has been pointing in one direction for decades.
What All of This Means
Being transgender is a naturally occurring variation in human development. So is being inters*x. So is being gay or bis*xual. These things emerge from the same biological processes that build every human being. They happen before birth. They are shaped by genetics, hormones and developmental timing in the womb.
They are not choices. They are not illnesses. They are not trends. They are not threats to anyone.
The man with ni***es he will never use is walking proof of exactly how human development works. Proof that biology builds complexity into us. Proof that separate developmental windows can produce different outcomes in the same body. Proof that variation is not error. It is just what biology does when it builds a human being.
The science has never been the problem here.
The problem has always been that most people were never taught it.
Now you have been.
