So why Epsom salt instead of regular sea salt?

When Dr. John C. Lilly was designing the first float tanks, he needed a solution that would create effortless buoyancy without irritating the skin during long
sessions. Epsom salt (magnesium sulphate) dissolved smoothly at high concentrations, felt amazingly soft on the skin, and didn’t leave harsh, drying salt crusts like sea salt.

Due to our staff going on annual leave, the floats for the week we reopen are nearly full! We’re also seeing lots of bookings coming in for June and July. Now is the time to get your floats booked to avoid missing out on specific dates! We love LOVE at Bristol Float Centre! ❤️

That’s why for the whole of February, we want to hear what you loved about your visit! Whether it’s the float spaces, the Mobiliser, the tasty teas, or that "post float glow" we want to see it and know why you loved it! We've shared some examples for you to see what some of our lovely customers have posted in the past :)

How to enter:
1. Post a photo or video of yourself or something you loved at the float centre.
2. Tell us what it was and why it made your day.
