Email [email protected] to book your free 15min initial consultation. I am qualified acupuncturist and naturopath but also a pharmacist. I was a pharmacist for more than 10 years when I have realized that although modern medicine is so helpful for so many of us, very often has also quite a few side effects. Observation of some of my pharmacy patients struggles with their health problems made me

look for other options, which would allow me to help people in the more direct and most of all more natural way, with minimal side effects, or even better help them prevent some health problems in the first place.

WANT TO BALANCE YOUR HORMONES? EAT MORE. (Part 1) 🍽️

In a world that often tells you to restrict, and fast, the absolute best thing you can do for your female hormones is to actually nourish your body.

„But what about intermittent fasting?” I hear you say. 🤔

We see this trend everywhere, but here is the missing piece: most of those fasting studies were done on men, not women.

Men and women have very different hormonal systems. We still have to wait and see the long-term effects, because we just don’t have enough good studies done on women regarding fasting yet.

When you skip meals, your body senses danger and goes straight into survival mode.

To make your body feel safe so it can make happy hormones, start eating MORE of these three things today:

1️⃣ PROTEIN: Stabilizes your blood sugar and keeps you full so you don’t overeat or raid the fridge at 10 PM.
2️⃣ FIBRE: Helps your body clear out old, used-up estrogen so your hormones don’t get backed up.
3️⃣ HEALTHY FATS: Your hormones are literally made from fats! You need avocados, nuts, and olive oil to function properly.

The Bottom Line: Stop shrinking your portions and skipping meals. Start nourishing your body.

Stay tuned for Part 2, where we look at how sleep impacts your hormones! 🛌

Have you ever tried intermittent fasting? How did your body feel? Let me know below! 👇

Made a fresh batch of pumpkin seed butter today.

Added some black sesame seeds and h**p seeds - not just for the taste, but to make it more nourishing overall.

In Chinese medicine, seeds are often used to support the Kidneys and Liver, and to help build Blood and fluids in the body. Black sesame seeds are especially nourishing for the Kidneys.

From a nutrition point of view, it’s also a very good source of healthy fats, minerals like magnesium, zinc, and iron, and plant protein. Blending the seeds makes the nutrients easier for the body to absorb, and you can also pre-soak them for few hours or overnight before making the butter (to make the nutrients even more bioavailable) and roast them afterward if you like.

I usually add a spoon to my morning porridge - it tastes delicious and keeps me full for longer. It’s a simple option you could try if you’re looking to make breakfast a bit more nourishing.

You can easily make it yourself if you have a food processor - it’s a great and tasty way to add more nutrients into your meals.

If you’re working on your hormones, this is where I’d start: ✨

- Eating enough signals safety to your body (undereating = stress) 🍽️
- Protein, fibre & fats support blood sugar + hormone production 🥗
- Sleep before 11pm supports melatonin + cortisol rhythm 🌙
- Daily movement supports circulation + insulin sensitivity 🏃‍♀️
- Hormone disruptors (fragrance, plastics) add to your overall load
- Nervous system support is key — your body won’t balance in “fight or flight” 🧘‍♀️
- Sunlight regulates your circadian rhythm ☀️
- Nutrient deficiencies are very common (magnesium, omega-3, vitamin D)
- Eating within an hour of waking supports cortisol balance 🍳
- Coffee on an empty stomach can spike cortisol and stress your system ☕️
- Acupuncture works cumulatively — consistency matters ⚡️

You don’t need to do all of this at once. Start small with what feels realistic and build from there.
And if things still aren’t shifting, that’s usually a sign your body needs a more personalized approach ✨

I’ll be breaking each of these down in more detail over the next posts if you want to understand your hormones on a deeper level 🌿
