We are delighted to welcome Brian W**d to Dycem as Senior Vice President, Global Data Center Vertical, reporting directly to Lyndon Wild, starting June 1st.

The global data center industry continues to experience exceptional growth and represents a major strategic focus for Dycem as we continue expanding our presence within critical infrastructure environments worldwide.

Brian brings extensive experience across mission critical facilities, operational leadership, and strategic growth within complex technical environments. He also brings a highly established industry network and deep relationships across the global data center ecosystem, which will be a significant asset as we continue to scale globally.

This appointment builds on the strong foundation our team has established within the data center vertical over recent years. Brian will help shape the next phase of our strategy as we continue building a more scalable global platform for long-term growth and success.

The opportunity in front of us is enormous, and we’re continuing to invest in the right team to capture it.

Welcome to the team, Brian! 👏

Getinge’s New Hampshire manufacturing plant made the move from disposable peel-off mats to permanent Dycem contamination control mats to better support cleanroom performance, reduce waste, and save time.

The team was finding that traditional sticky mats offered limited coverage, left residue behind, and had inconsistent capture. After developing a new product requiring ISO 5 specifications, Getinge needed a more comprehensive floor-level contamination control solution.

By switching to Dycem, the facility achieved approximately $15,000 in annual cost savings and eliminated more than 3,000 sheets of plastic waste from peel-off mats entering landfill each year.

Keeping a cleanroom genuinely clean takes focus, but it’s core to controlling contamination. Here are four simple practices that help teams stay on track:

1️⃣ Treat trash removal as an exit task
2️⃣ Limit personal items or keep a dedicated cleanroom set
3️⃣ Confirm glove fingertip competency
4️⃣ Move away from sticky mats

Most contamination control strategies look strong on paper.

SOPs are written. Training records are complete. Cleaning schedules are documented. Approved products are in place.

But real environments are not static.

People adapt. Workflows shift. Shortcuts happen. Temporary fixes become routine. Over time, the process that was designed can start to drift from the process that actually happens day to day.

That gap is where contamination risk quietly grows.

At Dycem, we talk a lot about floor-level contamination because it is one of those areas where the gap between process and reality can become easy to overlook. People, wheels, carts, visitors, contractors, and materials are constantly moving through controlled spaces.

A strong contamination control strategy needs to account for that reality, not just the ideal process on paper.

In our latest blog, we look at the Alpha Gap and Beta Gap in contamination control, and why closing both matters when building systems that are practical, repeatable, and easier to maintain over time.

Where do you think the biggest “process vs. reality” gap shows up in controlled environments?

60 years of Dycem would not be possible without the people behind it. 💡

Over the last few weeks, we hope you’ve enjoyed watching our employee interview series as part of our 60th anniversary celebrations. It has been a great opportunity to reflect on what being “trusted” means to our team, and what they hope the future of Dycem looks like.

Amongst the cameras, interviews, and serious questions, there were also plenty of laughs. Because behind every innovation, every customer relationship, and every milestone, is a team of passionate people who genuinely care about what they do!

Building and developing a strong team has been key to Dycem’s journey over the last 60 years, and it will continue to shape the next 60.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey so far 🤝

After 13 years of using Dycem contamination control mats, NHS Velindre Hospital’s Aseptic Unit upgraded to an inlaid CleanZone system for a seamless solution.

After switching to Dycem from traditional sticky mats, the move helped reduce contamination and support consistent Grade C/D conditions.

The inlaid finish provides maximum contact with Dycem at all times, supporting effective floor-level contamination control in a high-traffic aseptic environment.

Don’t miss us next week at CDMO Live Europe 2026! 👋

Our team will be attending to discuss the importance of effective floor-level contamination control within pharmaceutical and life sciences manufacturing environments.

From shoes and wheeled traffic to airborne particles, floor-level contamination can pose a significant risk to product quality, compliance, and operational performance. Dycem’s contamination control mats are designed to help reduce this risk by capturing and retaining contamination before it can spread into critical areas.

If you’re attending, come and speak with us to learn how Dycem could support your contamination control strategy. We look forward to seeing you there!

Capturing contamination is only the first half of the story.

Dycem removes contamination from shoes and wheels.
But what happens next is just as important.

Silver ion technology works to prevent microbes from reproducing once they’re on the mat.

In testing by Dr. Tim Sandle, Dycem showed a 91% reduction in fungal spores.
Not just trapping contamination. Controlling it.
