Caydence - who we support in South Gloucestershire - celebrated her birthday today and was supported by George to visit Shepton Mallet Prison for a ghost tour! Caydence had a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Following the visit, she said she would like to return in the future with her close friends and family because she'd enjoyed the experience so much.

Thank you to the Faculty of Science & Engineering Executive Support Team from University of Bristol who recently volunteered to help improve one of our services, including building a new shed! 🏡

Some of the people we support at our Tramways service are dog lovers so Canine Concern came to visit with Pippin the dog so that the people we support could enjoy her company and reminisce about the dogs they have had in the past.

Pippa was given a lovely walk around the garden, some treats, and lots of petting. Vicky and Pippin will be coming to the service once a month.

We're expanding our Mental Health division!

Milestones Trust provides high-quality care to people with complex mental health needs and we're looking to grow in this area. In order to support with this, we are looking for dynamic and capable individuals to take on the new roles of Peripatetic Service Manager and Peripatetic Service Coordinator.

❓What are peripatetic roles?
💬Peripatetic means travelling from place to place. Whilst you will have a base to work from, this role provides an opportunity to work across several different services, inspiring staff and coordinating teams, ensuring standards and rules are met and support is excellent, and leading with confidence.

So thrilled for our Mayo House team who have taken home the Care Team of the Year award at this year's Care & Support West Care Awards, for the incredible collaboration, creativity, and dedication they demonstrated in working to ensure that a person we support could attend his mother’s funeral in Ireland. The whole team rallied round to make sure the person could be with their family at this important and sensitive time. A well deserved award and recognition - thank you all.

Huge congratulations to Henry Nnaji who's taking home the Care Home Front Line Award for the efforts he made to encourage a person we support to reengage in day-to-day life, to the point where the individual can now be seen tapping along to drummers (and sometimes dancing!) at jazz venues in Bristol city centre!

Great to see your efforts recognised Henry - congratulations from all of !
