🍇 This summer holiday come and cook @ Square Food Foundation, Knowle West!
We are really excited to be running 3 weeks of cooking sessions from August 3rd - August 20th, 10am-2pm!
🍜 For ages 8-14
👋 Accessibility
• Our kitchen with step-free access is based in The Park Centre – there is an Accessible Toilet on site.
• We have ear defenders and sensory/fidget toys available.
• There is a garden space and opportunities for you to have breaks.
• Please feel free to get in touch if you want to discuss how we can make our space and session enjoyable for you.

👩‍🍳 What will we be doing?
• Preparing and cooking tasty food, growing in the garden, crafts and games.
🍕 Free of charge to attend!
• For young people in receipt of Benefits Related Free School Meals.

• We will be sitting down to enjoy the food you have created – there will be breakfast foods, snacks and drinks available throughout the day.

• Our Cookery Teachers and volunteers are fully DBS checked and trained in safeguarding (recently refreshed June 2026).

Did you know ...

In May 2026, the College of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (CoSRH) updated the licensing for the contraceptive implant. They approved it's use for up to 5 years, as evidence had shown it can effectively prevent pregnancy for this time. Before this, an implant could be used for up to 3 years.

Stay Connected for Loneliness Awareness Week

Loneliness Awareness Week runs from 15 to 21 June and is an annual initiative led by the Marmalade Trust, shining a light on the importance of connection, community and simple acts of kindness.

To mark the week, we’re inviting local people to join us on Tuesday 16th June from 2pm to 4pm for an afternoon of cuppas, cake, conversation and creativity.

The session will feature our wonderful community crafting champion Hannah Llewellyn and her brilliant stone painting workshop, this time inspired by the theme of love, care and connection. Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or fancy trying something new, or just fancy a cuppa, cake and a chat - everyone is welcome.

Sometimes the smallest moments, sharing a chat, making something together, or simply being around other people, can make a big difference.

So why not pop along, meet some friendly faces and spend a couple of hours getting creative with us?

Come and join us. Stay connected.
