This new bleed kit has been installed alongside the site's existing legacy-funded public access defibrillator provided through Donate For Defib WsM Project, further strengthening the emergency provisions available to residents and visitors in the local community.
This installation has been made possible through continued collaboration with our friends at Donate4Defib in Weston-super-Mare, who continue to play a vital role in improving access to life-saving equipment across North Somerset and beyond.
We are also grateful to the Avon & Somerset Police & Crime Commissioner, whose donation of this bleed kit demonstrates their ongoing commitment to public safety and community resilience. By expanding access to emergency bleed control equipment, the PCC is helping to ensure that members of the public have the tools they need to respond effectively in those critical moments before emergency services arrive.
Catastrophic bleeding can claim a life within minutes. Having both a defibrillator and a bleed control kit available at the same location provides a more comprehensive emergency response resource, giving local people the opportunity to act quickly and potentially save a life.
A huge thank you to Donate4Defib, the Police and Crime Commissioner, and the team at the Ebdon Arms Pub for supporting this important initiative and helping to make Weston-super-Mare an even safer place for everyone.
π Together, we're building safer communities and helping save lives.
