Who's going to Shambala Festival this year? 👋

Our Directors Fran & Rosie will be there and on Saturday you can catch Rosie at Chew on This, talking on a panel from 3.30-5pm. Come and say hi!

"It’s easy to believe the worst of each other in the midst of global wars, crackdowns, rising hostility, and a constant churn of online outrage.

But on the ground, people are still showing up. Organising, resisting, feeding each other, protecting each other, building something more liveable in the midst of it all.
This panel brings together organisers, activists and community builders to talk about what it takes to build trust, take action, and hold communities together in uncertain times.

This is a conversation for anyone who wants to understand how change happens on the ground and what part they might play in it."

🌼 HELLO! We have been rather quiet on here lately…

☀️ Each year, we try to practice what we preach and take some time out in August for a little self-care, rest and rejuvenation. So, for now, the team have scattered like dandelion seeds on a breeze to enjoy sunshine, holidays and time with our families.

🐢 We are still checking emails but we may be slightly slower to respond than usual.

🌼"Above and beyond, a part of me has certainly been unlocked and moved"

🌼 "Reconnected to old parts and feel I can relate to them differently, a lot to work with and digest"

✨ Our first Souls Tapestry weekend at the beginning of this month was as nurturing and nourishing as we'd dreamed.

💛 Thank you so much to those who attended with such open hearts and minds.

Kerry McCarthy, MP for Bristol East, dropped by last week to meet our Directors Fran & Rosie and hear more about Wild Dandelion and our plans for 63 Barton Hill Rd.

It was a pleasure to meet with Wild Dandelion in Barton Hill last week to learn about their plans to create a new community space at what was formerly known as The Dugout on Barton Hill Road.

The Wild Dandelion are a new CIC aiming to provide wellbeing services, therapy and education, to support practitioners and the wider community. It was interesting to learn more about their journey and what they hope to achieve. I expressed my support for their work, but also flagged the need to link up the many related initiatives going on across Barton Hill, so as to avoid duplication, maximise the use of community space, and make limited resources stretch further.

Presently the CIC are looking to engage with local residents and other community groups about how they can best support Barton Hill at the Dugout. They’d love to hear from you!

Some photos from our Public Consultation event last month when we invited the wider community to come and meet us and Barefoot Architects and see our plans for 63 Barton Hill Rd (aka the Dugout, or Barton Hill Boxing Gym). Some attendees brought an absolute wealth of local history knowledge and anecdotes about the building and the area which was a real joy.

🟡 Soul's Tapestry - Weaving Soul & Spirit Into Practice 🟡

Just 3 weeks to go until our first ever Soul’s Tapestry training - a creative, nurturing, inspiring weekend taking place in our cosy Cottage here in Bristol on July 4-5. We are excited!
