On Friday 27th November, we're taking over an entire wing of the world famous Shepton Mallet Prison for Jail & Bail: After Dark, and trust us, it's going to be a night to remember!

Yes, it's spooky. Yes, it's a real prison. But it's also about having a brilliant laugh, making memories and doing something completely different - all while raising vital funds to support local disabled adults.

You don't have to face your cell alone; grab your friends, choose your cellmate and get ready for a night of creepy corridors, prison stories, plenty of laughs and an experience you'll be talking about long after you've been released!

Community market tomorrow! We've got some great local stalls lined up and our Paul's Place Community Cafe will be open serving up a stack of yummy breakfasts, lunches and cakes. Including bacon/sausage rolls - that's right, you've all been asking for bacon rolls so we are trialling it tomorrow. See you there!

Paul's Place Vs Kendleshire Golf Club BOCCIA REMATCH

The rematch was on, and this time we were on Kendleshire Golf Club’s home turf.

With a makeshift Boccia court, a few creative interpretations of the rules and plenty of banter, it was always going to be a close one.

Kendleshire got off to a flying start and took the lead, but Paul’s Place weren’t giving up without a fight. After a seriously close game, we pulled it back to take the victory 16–12.

Which means Paul’s Place remain the Boccia champions!

And because one game clearly wasn’t enough, we finished with a round of Prize Boccia, competing for the really important stuff: c***r, chocolate and b**r.

It was a brilliant day, but there was an even bigger reason to celebrate. Kendleshire captain Andy has chosen Paul’s Place as the club’s charity to support this year, and they have already raised an incredible £8,000+ for us to date.

We’re incredibly grateful for their support, generosity and most importantly their friendship.

And we’re back behind the mics!

Yesterday we finished session 2 of 6 of our podcast coaching with our brilliant Patron, Ben Atkinson from Heart Radio.
Our members are learning everything from how to plan and structure an episode, what makes a good podcast, and how to tell a story, to the slightly more technical stuff… like what all those buttons actually do!
We’re not just learning how to make a podcast. We’re learning how to make OUR podcast.
Because the best bit is hearing our members get excited about sharing their stories, opinions, experiences and personalities, in their own words, in their own way and in their own voices. All whilst learning a new skill.
There’s still four sessions to go, so we’ve got plenty more to learn (and probably a few more buttons to press! 😂).
But we think something pretty special is taking shape…

Seven comedians. One stage. And a whole lot of laughs, all in support of Paul’s Place.

Every single comedian gave their time completely free to help us raise money and awareness for the work we do supporting disabled adults.

We’re so grateful to each one of them, everyone who came along, and everyone who helped make the night such a success.

Proof that doing good doesn’t have to be serious business.

Okay… we’re going to be honest with you. Lots of you have told us you’re coming to our Comedy Night next Friday. We’ve had messages, comments and plenty of “I’m definitely getting tickets!”… But our ticket numbers haven’t quite caught up yet! 😂

So, if you’ve been meaning to book, now is a very good time to turn that “I’m coming” into an actual ticket.

And if you’ve already bought yours, THANK YOU! You’re not going to be sitting in a half-empty room. We’ve got a brilliant night planned, some fantastic comedians lined up, and we’re determined to make this a proper night out, not just another fundraiser.
But we’d LOVE to see a few more of you there, filling the room, having a laugh and helping us raise money to support disabled adults at Paul’s Place.

So, grab your mates, your partner, your colleagues, your neighbour… basically anyone who needs a good laugh! Come on, let’s fill the room!
