❗Important Patient Notice – Extreme Heat Weather Warning❗
Due to the Red/Amber weather warning for extreme heat, and to help protect patients and staff during this period of exceptionally high temperatures, the practice will be operating a predominantly remote service on Wednesday and Thursday this week.
Existing face-to-face appointments will continue as planned and are not affected. If you would prefer your appointment to be changed to a telephone consultation, please contact reception.
All newly booked appointments on Wednesday and Thursday will initially be by telephone. Face-to-face appointments will be arranged where clinically necessary.
These temporary measures are intended to minimise unnecessary travel and exposure to extreme heat while allowing us to continue providing a full and safe service to our patients.
Please take extra care during the hot weather by keeping well hydrated, avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun during the hottest part of the day, and checking on vulnerable family members, friends and neighbours. Symptoms of heat-related illness can include dizziness, headache, nausea, excessive sweating, confusion or feeling unusually unwell. If you develop severe symptoms such as confusion, loss of consciousness or difficulty breathing, seek urgent medical attention.
