Can you make me a blend that smells like my perfume? 🎋
I do get asked this - and I say, probably not!
🎋 Why?
🎋Commercial perfume is an engineered mixture of molecules, some of which might not exist in an essential oil. Also, isolates - individual molecules extracted from natural materials. Perfume might also contain synthetic aroma molecules.
🎋 I work with with essential oils that are complex natural extracts in their own right. Did you know that a single essential oil may contains over 500 molecules, not just one fragrance molecule. So when I use a lavender essential oil, I'm adding the whole complex nature of the oil, not isolated molecules that carry the lavender smell. This can make matching a commercial perfume very tricky!

Self-care isn't selfish – it's how we refill our own cup so we have something to give to others.
Today, choose just one small act of kindness for yourself - Here are a few gentle ideas:
🌸 Take five slow, deep breaths before you reach for your phone.
💧 Drink a glass of water and notice how your body feels afterwards.
🌿 Step outside and let nature wake up your senses. Feel the breeze, listen to the birds, notice the colours around you.
🛁 Give your feet a little love with a warm foot soak and a nourishing natural balm.
☕ Enjoy your favourite drink without multitasking.
📖 Read a few pages of a book simply because it brings you joy.
