Stress Awareness Month is a reminder that stress is something we all experience – and that the right support can make a real difference. It’s also a moment to highlight how workplaces can create environments where people feel safe, valued, and able to ask for help. At Brandon Trust, supporting wellbeing isn’t an add on; it’s part of how we work.

🌿 Stress awareness
Stress can build gradually or hit suddenly. It might look like difficulty concentrating, feeling overwhelmed, disrupted sleep, or simply not feeling like yourself. Recognising these signs early and reaching out is an important act of self care.

💬 Support that puts people first
At Brandon Trust, colleagues have access to trained Mental Health First Aiders who offer a confidential space to talk during the working week. A simple conversation – one where you’re heard without judgement – can help you feel less alone.

As one of our MHFAiders says: “Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is give someone time to talk – and help them feel they matter.”

Colleagues can also access free helplines and practical support anytime, including:
• GP consultations and prescription services
• Counselling and emotional wellbeing support
• Financial and legal advice

Becky, who works at our social enterprise Brandon Packaging, shared: “I’ve got Down Syndrome and I’m proud of it. I feel proud to work as a team at Brandon. They understand us.”

Employment is one of the most powerful ways to build confidence, connection, and independence. At Brandon Trust, we create opportunities that help people develop skills, be part of a team, and live the lives they choose.

As Project Coordinator, you’ll oversee production and distribution, manage relationships with NHS partners, and ensure the project operates safely, efficiently, and in line with commissioned outcomes.

The team here at Brandon Packaging are constantly developing and adding to their skills. When orders come through from the hospitals, Becky is now confident using the computer to track and record the orders for organ retrieval kits.

With the right support, more opportunities open up, confidence grows and so does the pride in knowing we are helping the NHS 💙

💫Quality Control💫

Checking quality is important in every aspect of work, but for us its absolutely vital that each component of the organ retrieval kit is top quality, in perfect working order, so that when it arrives with the professionals who are working within the NORS teams, they can be sure they have everything they need.

Our supported employees and trainees have become experts at spotting any anomalies or imperfections, and they are proud to be supporting the work of the NHS 💙

We are pleased to publish our Impact Report 2025💫

Our report showcases a year of growth, innovation, and stronger outcomes for people with learning disabilities and autistic people. We have also included how our Whole-life approach, partnerships, and co-production model are creating meaningful change across communities, services, and organisations.

Chief Executive, Helen England, explains that this Impact Report reflects Brandon's mission: enabling people with learning disabilities and autistic people to live freely, confidently, and with purpose.

She said: "We are building on 30 years of innovation to become smarter and more responsive, combining digital tools, lived-experience insight, and strong partnerships to improve outcomes and deliver early action and enabling support in our neighbourhoods.”
