Hey lovelies 💛

Just a little update from me ✨

To keep giving you the best service (and using all the lovely high-quality eco friendly products!), I’m making a small price adjustment from this month.

I’ll also be taking deposits for bookings through Fresha going forward. This just helps me manage my diary a little better and protects against last-minute cancellations or no-shows 🤍

Thank you so much for always supporting my little business — I honestly appreciate every single one of you more than you know 🫶

If you’ve got any questions at all, just pop me a message!

If your hair is particularly long, trimming your hair before sugaring is a good idea. The ideal hair length for sugaring is typically around 1/4 inch (6 mm). If your hair is longer than that, trimming it to this length will make the process more comfortable and effective. Hair that’s too long can lead to more discomfort and may cause the sugar paste to grab the skin, while hair that’s too short may not be removed properly.

Here’s how you can do it:
1. Use scissors or a trimmer to carefully trim the hair to about 1/4 inch.
2. Avoid trimming too short, as the paste needs to grip the hair to pull it out.
3. Ensure your skin is clean and dry before sugaring.

This helps ensure a smoother, more efficient hair removal process.

Sugaring hair removal can be done in the winter, and in fact, it’s often a good time for it! Since sugaring is a natural method that involves a paste made of sugar, lemon, and water, it’s gentle on the skin, which can be especially beneficial during colder months when the skin tends to be drier or more sensitive.

Here are a few reasons why winter can be a great time for sugaring:
1. Less Sun Exposure: Sugaring can make your skin more sensitive to the sun, so getting it done in the winter means you’re less likely to deal with sun exposure that could irritate freshly sugared skin.
2. Avoiding Ingrown Hairs: Since winter clothes (like tights, leggings, and heavy sweaters) can help protect your skin from friction, you’re less likely to experience irritation or ingrown hairs after sugaring compared to the warmer months when you’re more likely to wear tight-fitting clothing or shorts.
3. Smoother Skin for Spring: If you get sugaring done in the winter, your skin will be smooth and hair-free by the time spring and warmer weather roll around, without the hassle of shaving frequently.

However, it’s important to make sure your skin is properly moisturized and exfoliated before sugaring, as dry skin can make the process less effective and more uncomfortable. Also, avoid sugaring immediately after being in extremely cold conditions, as your skin might be more sensitive.
