✨ A calm, confident way to prepare for birth ✨

If you’re starting to think about birth prep, it can feel like there’s so much information out there.

This course is designed to simplify it — giving you everything you need in a way that feels calm, supportive and not overwhelming.

In a small and friendly group, I will guide you through everything you need to know ahead of birth...

– how your body works in birth
– breathing and relaxation techniques
– practical coping tools for labour
– understanding your options (including interventions)
– how to make decisions that feel right for you
– how your partner can support you
– stages of labour, early postpartum
–pain relief

It’s a blend of hypnobirthing and midwifery experience, so you leave feeling both relaxed and genuinely informed. Unlike a lot of courses, this is crafted by a midwife, to prepare you for the 'real birth world' and birth in all settings.

📅 July 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th 6:30-8:30pm
📍 Near Roch
£180 per couple

~Hypnobirthing~

You don’t need to feel overwhelmed by birth and birth prep- but I totally understand why it is one of the words I hear used most often to describe how parents feel.

With the right support and understanding, it can feel calmer, more manageable, and something you move through confidently, not something that just happens to you.

My next Hypnobirthing course runs throughout July, this is a full birth preparation course, and highlights include:

• exploring birth, your hormones & birth environments
• breathwork, relaxation tips and mindset work
• simple, practical tools for labour
• birth partner tools and tips
• feeling confident in your choices, & how to communicate them
• staying calm, wherever and however you give birth

It’s not about doing birth “perfectly”, it’s about feeling prepared and supported.

🗓️This course will run over consecutive Mondays in July, (6th, 13th, 20th & 27th) 6:30-8:30pm, near Roch.

Included in your course booking- activity booklet, manual, audios, goody bag and ongoing WhatsApp support.

Please book via my website calendar (6th July)

No matter what your journey looks like, you're welcome here 🤗✨

The journey to conceiving, pregnancy, birth and motherhood experiences vastly varies between us. Over 10 years of sitting with mothers-to-be in pregnancy yoga circles has humbled me, made me proud, and helped me grow as a teacher.

Women... mothers are incredible! Sometimes pregnancy is smooth sailing, sometimes it isn't, but you will always find safety, connection and a warm welcome in my classes.

I always like to mention, that you are welcome just as you are. All of your emotions and experiences are valid, and you are welcome to share whatever you need to, or quietly just be.

You don't have to tick a box or fit a mould to practice pregnancy yoga, this space is about meeting you wherever you are on your journey.

I'd love to see you in our Friday pregnancy yoga circle, at Camrose Community Centre 6:30-7:45pm- 🔗 in bio.

Look at this beautiful capture of a powerful active birth position, supported perfectly in hospital 👏🏻

As a midwife, I see first-hand that birth doesn’t always happen in the calm, dimly lit spaces we might imagine, and birth plans can change.
Perhaps you plan to be at home, where you know your environment, but find yourself labouring in hospital instead. Perhaps you choose the birth centre, but need to transfer to delivery suite.

But that doesn’t mean hypnobirthing isn’t relevant,
in fact, it’s often even more important.

Because when things feel clinical or unfamiliar,
having tools to stay calm, informed, and connected to your body matters.

In my hypnobirthing courses, we explore:

• Hospital environments
• Monitoring and interventions
• Induction and assisted birth
• Epidural use
• Active birth positions in all settings

So you feel confident adapting, not thrown off course.

Because hypnobirthing isn’t about controlling birth.
It’s about feeling grounded within it.

If you'd love to invest in powerful, real world birth preparation, join my upcoming Hypnobirthing Course starting 6th July, or let's chat about a 1-2-1 session.

Private courses are available online if you aren't local to Pembrokeshire.

~ The birth preparation you deserve ~

I often see so much pressure to do "birth prep right", to have the perfect plan, the perfect tools, to have practiced all the breathwork options for each stage of labour, to get the perfect outcome.

But birth doesn’t work like that, there are some things we simply cannot control, and shouldn't be trying to.
Birth preparation isn’t about control, it’s about building a sense of safety, trust, and support that stays with you even if things shift.

Because that’s what shapes your experience, that's what keeps you grounded and at the centre of your birth experience.

When I sit with families and chat about their birth experience, those who speak of a positive birth, aren't always talking about the birth they expected. It's that they felt heard, supported, they understood their options, they knew how to communicate their wishes, and they didn't fear the process.

This is exactly what I focus on inside my hypnobirthing courses, not perfection, but preparation that actually holds you.
I'd love to welcome you to my upcoming July Hypnobirthing Course, starting 6th July.

If a full course doesn’t feel like the right fit right now, or you don't have time, I also offer Power Hour sessions. These shorter sessions explore what matters most to you, to help you feel more grounded going into your birth.

~July Hypnobirthing course ~

I'm pleased to announce my first Pembrokeshire hypnobirthing course, this July.

This is a complete birth preparation course, carefully crafted and kept up to date with midwifery knowledge, and 'real birth world' insight.
This is not a fluffy and idealistic course, and I don't promise a pain free or perfect birth. This course explores the incredible work you and your body do during labour, and gives you all the tools you need to feel calm and confident.

Over 8 hours (4 sessions) we will also explore assisted births, interventions such as induction, decision making, communication, birth environment, active birth positions, and birth partner involvement.

This course combines hypnobirthing with my 15+ years of midwifery experience, tried and tested knowledge of active birth positions, breathwork and nervous system regulation.

The course runs over 4 consecutive Mondays, giving time for reflection and questions between sessions, and reducing the overwhelm of a full day or weekend course.

One to one courses are also available if these dates don't suit you, either online or in person.

🗓️ July 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th 6:30-8:30pm

We all plan for what to expect during birth, but what about those early days and weeks with your new baby?
Here are some things I have found are less talked about in postpartum.

•You can expect a rollercoaster of emotions- for both parents! Tears of exhaustion, tears of joy, highs, lows and everything in-between, in just a few hours.

•You'll grow in ways you never knew, new confidence and strength is born in you, with your baby.

•You can adore your baby and new parenting role, and miss your old life and routine. This is common, and doesn't mean you aren't grateful or happy.

•You need to heal from a vaginal birth too. It's not just CS mums who need to take the first few weeks slow. We are all healing from pregnancy, and birth, bleeding, healing- and all on fragmented sleep.

•It's ok if you don't want to pass your baby around, this doesn't make you overprotective or selfish. The maternal bond is designed to make us want to keep our babies close at all times. It's also ok to enjoy some solo time- there's no right or wrong, you lead.

•The clichés are true- time is a thief, it all does go too fast, the days are long but the weeks are short, blink and you'll miss it, this too shall pass. This is a comfort when you hit a tricky chapter, hold on, better is coming.

•You might not be the mum you expected to be- perhaps you thought you'd want to be back at work soon and don't, perhaps you thought you'd never use X,Y,Z for baby, perhaps you expected to love a certain part of motherhood. You never know how you'll feel and who you'll be until you meet your baby. It's an ever evolving adventure, be kind to yourself, things change, you grow and adapt. You know best for you and your family ❤️

~Online restorative yoga~

It's back! I'd love for you to join me from the comfort of your cosy home, and enjoy this Rest & Restore class, designed to be the deep breath and reset your body and mind craves.

Restorative yoga is all about long, fully supported poses using cushions, blankets or pillows, so your muscles can soften and your nervous system can downshift.

There’s no stretching to your edge, no effort, no “keeping up” just gentle guidance into stillness, in comfy clothes, and a quiet space.

This is for everyone and anyone! Restorative yoga is completely beginner friendly, suitable for pregnancy and postpartum, recovery from illness or injury.
The magic of this style of yoga works less on flexibility and more on regulation. Slowing the breath, settling the mind, giving your body the signal that it’s safe to rest. That’s where the real magic is...better sleep, less tension, a weight lifted.

It’s not about switching off completely. It’s about being held enough that your body can do what it’s been trying to do all along, rest & restore. It's about carving out just an hour in your week for conscious rest, and I cannot wait to share this with you.

🗓️Starting Sunday 24th 7-8pm
💻Zoom link will be sent out Saturdays
✨£10 including recording if requested
🎶Suggested Spotify playlist as a bonus

Booking is available via my calendar on my homepage - link in bio.

See you there 🤗✨

~Skin to skin~

If you're pregnant or have had a baby, you've probably heard of skin to skin after birth. But did you know that the benefits don't disappear?

Skin to skin with your baby as they grow can be a wonderful tool, a calming reset and a way for both parents to bond with baby. Even older siblings can enjoy skin to skin supervised.

There's been so many moments I've snuggled Juno skin to skin, my favourites have been

✨Her first bath (with candles and music 🥹)
✨The first time we snuggled in bed after she was born
✨When it calmed her during her first illness
✨Our baths together after I'd been at work and separation had been hard
✨On the beach in Greece, snoozing on a lounger

There's been so many moments skin to skin, in fact she still asks for it as it "makes me feel safe and calm" ❤️

So if you thought skin to skin ends when you leave hospital, why not keep this magic trick up your sleeve for the weeks and months ahead.

❓ What's your experience of skin to skin? Share your moments below.

~Mindful birth preparation ~

If you're pregnant, you're possibly reading lots about birth, learning about labour stages, pain relief tools and birth place options. This is all fantastic preparation, and when we understand what is happening, we feel more confident in experiencing it.

In my opinion, practical prep is half the story, and the other half lies in doing the inner work.
If knowledge is power, inner work is your secret weapon.

Understanding labour stages helps you know the process, but deeper preparation helps you stay grounded and calm when you feel the process unfolding within you.

Unpacking fears around birth before the day (fears you and your birth partner may have separately) is a powerful exercise. When we reduce fear, confidence and self belief rushes in to fill it's place.

Exploring what you 'know' of birth, and where you've heard that, can be helpful in understanding the fears you may hold.

Trusting that the person beside you as you journey through labour, has prepared to hold the space for all your feelings, is immensely powerful.

We don't have to eradicate all of our fears, or have the 'perfect' plan A birth, to have a positive birth.
When you mindfully prepare for birth, you are offering yourself the best investment you can in your birth experience.

My mindful birth preparation workshop and 1-2-1 hypnobirthing course offers you this approach, because birth isn't just physical, and it isn't just mental. It's both.
