Beehives, live music, scented sweet peas, Victoria sponge cake, outdoor pizza oven and a mini woodland walk...only downside was a smidgen of rain and the raffle (I didn't win).

If you missed the Summer Fair at King Henry's Walk today, you've got another chance to see the fabulous gardens & allotments tomorrow 12 - 4pm

Free paper making with wild flower seeds at The Great Garden Fete today, at the British Library Piazza with my mum...more activities and plant related stalls, tomorrow from10:30am - 5pm.
Relaxed atmosphere, between the polluted urban sprawl of Kings Cross and Euston, supporting an exhibition exploring the roots of gardening 'unearthed' in the Library (the exhibition is not free).
My mum lasted about an hour and particularly liked smelling the flowers and looking at the giant bee sculpture.

73 bus stops almost outside

Garishly lovely display of ravishingly red oriental poppies and beguiling blue geraniums, in the very cutely curated gardens of The Museum of the Home - formerly the Geffrye Museum ( but turns out Mr G profited from the horrific slave trade, so his statue and name have been sensibly banished from front of house to back garden).

Gardens and Museum are FREE, with toilets and seating plus a shop and lots of transport links and cafes just outside, making this a great place to bring visiting friends, children and oldies (I mean I'm old and my mum is even older and it's a great place for us).

I've suspended myself from work and made the decision to take garden leave and fully focus on my mum's wellbeing.
Juggling a small business and being a full time carer is not working for me - it's been a wonderful 5 years making and selling and I am indebted to you all for your incredible support, but it's time to take a break.

This is your last chance to buy my all natural balms and oils - only available from until 31st May.

Look out for posts about noticing nature, community support and living well naturally.

Collecting my 83 year old mum from Pilates, I happen across this cascade of roses, which not only look like they are set up for a period drama film shoot, but also smell like a bottle of expensive perfume has been thrown all over them.
Thank you lovely neighbours, for planting these fragrant blooms in your front garden for all to share.

Annual picnic in the Park with my mum and family, remembering my grandparents, who lived over the road in a flat with a balcony, facing this landscape of loveliness, for many happy years.
We planted a cherry tree which has grown huge and every year we miss it flowering. But who cares...it's alive and well and others will enjoy it in full bloom.

In full bloom! Clematis armandii on my mum's 83rd birthday a few days ago. Her friend Seamus made his signature passion fruit & pomegranet cake and introduced us to his new dog Sid in his sunny Camberwell garden. Doesn't get much better than that.
Sun and fun in South London.

Bursting with blossom here in London Town, I've got neck strain from gawping upwards.
Spotted on an outing with my mum yesterday, passing many more around on the way to the Southbank Centre - for live Raggae & dancing courtesy of a brilliant - and free - series of events "uniting communities by sparking joy and connection through live music".

Next Simmerdown event is on my birthday (thank you!)
April 18th
1pm
The Core Ballroom
See you there!

Cherry blossom & live music = a fab day out in London.
