Here's what is hiding behind my makeup ⬇️
Having woken with a flare up of my rosacea, I thought I would post about it, to show that even skincare practitioners can have bad skin days.

Rosacea is a chronic inflammation of the skin. I have suffered with it since my late twenties. The photo on the left is what my rosacea looks like today, which is quite a mild flare up for me. It has been much worse before, often feeling sore and swollen.

It has taken a careful selection of appropriate products to calm, hydrate and protect my skin, to get it to the stage it is currently at, and careful understanding of how certain allergens in my diet and environmental factors cause a flare up, like today.

I have learnt a lot about sensitive skin on my journey, and it is why I felt it was important to offer facials that are also suitable for sensitive faces.

The photo on the right is a reminder that we do not always know what is going on behind someone's makeup.
