This hack is a game changer 👍🏻

I love porridge for my breakfast but it’s very low in protein and we know how important it is to get ya protein in don’t we?

So adding an egg white is a simple low calorie way of upping that protein.

You can’t taste it, in fact it makes it all lovely and creamy 😋

This is my Chocolate Blueberry Protein Porridge

✅ 40g Porridge Oats
✅ 200ml almond milk (or whatever milk you like)
✅ 1 tbsp cacao powder
✅ 1tsp coconut sugar
✅ 1 egg white

Put all your main ingredients into a small sauce pan (not the egg white)

Cool porridge for a few minutes till its thickened as is almost ready

Turn heat right down to its lowest and pour in your egg white then stir continuously to prevent the egg scrambling

After a few mins it will be ready to serve

Toppings 😋

Blueberries a handful
1tsp mixed seeds
1tsp almond butter

💪🏻15g porridge and 360kcal

Will you try this?

Eat less and move more! sounds simple right?

But we know it’s not that simple because our behaviours are mostly sub conscious based on a lifetime of beliefs, experiences, stress and survival

So even though you know what to do you wonder why you just don’t do it! It’s because your brain is wired for survival

So when life gets busy/tough/stressful you automatically revert back to the easiest, most familiar behaviour

You’ve got to be a bit sneaky and get your subconscious on board, you can do this by keeping changes small, achievable and realistic for you

That way you can celebrate those small wins, feel a sense of achievement which feels good and your brain goes “oooh we like this feeling we’re still safe phew ok let’s carry on doing more of this”

If you’re new to my page Hi I’m Claire and I’m a hypnotherapist and personal trainer who works with women age 40 plus to help them ditch the all or nothing/stop start mentality around weight loss and health

So recent research says that 2 hours of strength training a week can reduce the risk of early death woo hoo great news 💪🏻

Strength Training is working on your muscles using resistance, this could be body weight, resistance bands, dumbbells, kettlebells etc

This is fab, as this means that 2 sessions per week are enough to see those health benefits 👏🏻

But what if you’ve never really done strength training and 2 hours per week seems overwhelming?

My biggest tip is to start with something … could just be body weight around the house

Maybe you could do 10 squats when you boil the kettle. 10 push ups before you jump in the shower

Get used to incorporating resistance exercises and then you can slowly add in more and do it consistently

So that’s my challenge for you this week - do you accept?

I literally deleted a whole side of me off Instagram as I didn’t think I could be a fitness coach and a hypnotherapist 🤦‍♀️

But now I’m finding ways to weave all of my passions together and it all comes down to well being at the end of the day doesn’t it?

Ah lovely Amy was so brave to do this video testimonial for me ❤️

She has been with me since I very first started my Fitness Pilates class at Finstall Village hall 8 years ago. Then Covid happened - 5 years later I decided to start back up again and Amy was one of the first clients I contacted to see if she wanted to come back and I’m so happy that she did ❤️

Everyone of my lovely members has become a friend and we have the best time

I am starting another block this Thursday 4th June (the last one now till September) so if you fancy joining our lovely group comment “CLASS”

Real movement for real bodies

Pilates isn’t just an Instagram trend

Don’t do it to be be a “Pilates Girl” (I hate this term)

Do it for…

❤️ Stronger core
❤️ improved Posture
❤️ easier movement
❤️ reduced aches, pains and stiffness
❤️ support hormones, stress and energy

And when you can do it at home, in your PJs if you want to, you take away the stress of leaving the house, traffic, childcare

I teach online on Zoom every Wednesday 8pm and I have a new block starting this week

Comment “PILATES” for more info
