It seems Sept 3rd has always been a busy work day for me….
Ten years ago today - Rio 2016 🇧🇷
Eleven years ago - Switzerland 🇨🇭for the Haute Route 🚴♀️
And fourteen years ago - London 2012 🇬🇧
I’ve been incredibly lucky to have had some amazing experiences through physiotherapy. I’ve worked in some brilliant places, alongside brilliant people, and learned a huge amount along the way.
A lot of what I learned during those years still shapes how I work today - about people, rehabilitation, resilience, teamwork and sometimes just getting on with the job.
But the photos perhaps make the travelling look slightly more glamorous than the reality 😂 There were plenty of long days, time away from home, living out of bags and decidedly unglamorous accommodation.
I’m very grateful I did it. I’m also very happy that these days my commute is to Bromsgrove and I get to bring everything I learned back into my little clinic.
Some adventures are great to look back on - without necessarily wanting to do them all again!
