Hi, I’m Samantha – registered hypnotherapist and BWRT practitioner based in Buckfastleigh, also working on-line with UK residents. I specialise in helping people overcome anxiety and supporting women who are struggling with menopausal problems. Hypnotherapy is an enjoyable, deeply relaxing and uplifting experience that can lead to transformation in many areas of life, far more quickly than you mig

ht expect. Hypnotherapy is generally quite a fast therapy – on average clients need just 6 sessions. I can help with many common problems including anxiety, panic attacks, low self-esteem, overwhelm, negative/critical thinking patterns, low mood, phobias, binge eating and unwanted habits. BWRT® is an exciting and dynamic new form of psychotherapy completely different to any other type of therapy you may have experienced. BWRT® is a science based, grounded therapy that can bring rapid results….and unlike many therapies, once we’ve completed your consultation you won’t need to discuss your childhood, relationships, or any trauma you’ve experienced. Most other therapies work on the response after it’s been generated, requiring you to explain what you’re thinking about – but with BWRT® the problem is dealt with ‘at source’ before it even gets to the conscious mind. With BWRT® we can change the way you feel to the way you’d prefer to feel, replacing negative responses with new empowering responses which could include confidence and calmness – in any situation. ✨ After two years of broken sleep, two sessions changed everything.

A client came to me struggling with broken, restless sleep - tossing, turning, even moving his limbs wildly and talking during sleep.

Over time, it had gradually affected everything: his health, his energy, and even his closest relationship.

We talked about how stress often builds beneath the surface long before we consciously recognise it. But the body always knows - and it always finds a way to speak to us.

After just two hypnotherapy sessions, he was sleeping soundly through the night again. He felt calmer, lighter, and more like himself 🌿

I've been practising HeartMath breathing techniques daily for several years now, using them to regulate my nervous system and stay emotionally balanced. And I share these powerful tools with my clients too.

For more than 35 years, the HeartMath Institute Research Centre has been exploring the profound wisdom and intelligence of the heart. What they've found is remarkable: the human heart is so much more than an efficient pump that sustains life. Heartbeats aren't just mechanical pulses - they carry an intelligent signal that your entire being - mind, body and spirit - responds to ✨

One of the key things I work with is Heart Rate Variability (HRV) - a measure of how well your nervous system is adapting moment to moment, reflected in the subtle fluctuations between each heartbeat. A rhythmically coherent HRV pattern is associated with better health, emotional balance and mental clarity.

The image below shows my own HRV. I’m stressed to start with….you can see the shift to greater coherence after just a short heart-focused breathing meditation paired with an uplifting emotion. The difference is striking. And because the heart is such a powerful electrical organ, when it shifts into coherence it pulls the brain - and all your other body systems - into harmony with it 💫

🌿 8 years of sleepless nights - and then, something shifted.

Imagine suffering from eczema so severe that the itching wakes you up in the middle of the night. That cold baths at 3am become the norm. That after 5 years, you'd almost given up hope of ever feeling comfortable in your own skin again.

That was the reality for one of my clients when she came to see me. We worked together using hypnotherapy and deep relaxation to gently break the relentless itch-scratch cycle. She left with a personalised audio to continue the work at home.

🌿 During menopause, balance isn't a luxury… it's essential.

If you're struggling right now, it's worth asking: where in your life might things feel a little off-kilter? Small shifts across a few areas can make a surprisingly big difference to how you feel.

Here are some simple places to start:

Nourish your body - ease back on sugar, processed food, caffeine and alcohol - your hormones will thank you.

Give yourself permission to slow down - you don't have to do it all, honestly.

Remember to breathe - a few minutes of box breathing each day is more powerful than it sounds.

Do something just for you - something you genuinely love, at least three times a week.

Move in a way that feels good - it doesn't have to be the gym, just regular and enjoyable.

Step outside - fresh air and daylight work wonders, even a short walk counts.

Protect your peace - turn off notifications for part of the day and reclaim some headspace.

Find your stillness - whether that's mindfulness, meditation or self-hypnosis, a little goes a long way.

Cherish your sleep - everything feels harder when you're exhausted, so make rest a priority.

None of these need to be perfect. Just pick one or two and start there 💛
