So I have managed to keep up the running for over a year now...
Definitely getting on better now I . A year ago, I got out of breath every time I ran. Now I understand, slowing down is the key. 5k is 5k, regardless how quick you go. Also, I can now conquer hills beating my 2021 record for Page Hill Ave this week by 4 secs!! The half marathon a couple of weeks ago was tough, but before the heat kicked in the first half was spot on. I did learn how important it is to read your body and the conditions on this one π₯΅βοΈ and decided it we better to finish safely rather than pushing for my target time π. Also, solo runs are great, but supporting a bestie to achieve and go beyond their goals is amazing and makes you feel so proud. β€οΈ Seeing people you know taking up running who have seen your running story and watching them progress is fantastic!! Running is a very personal thing, and you have to find your own journey..... Nobody has the right to criticise your choice, whether it's walk/runs (jeffing), easy, slower paced runs, or you are chasing a PB, it's all beating those sat on the couch. Wearing a hydration vest for all your runs, using all the tech or just heading out no tech, no water and stopping when you've had enough.... It's all OK. Your running story is yours and yours alone, enjoy it
Thank you runna for keeping me on track!!
