Eight days away from the usual rush of life at Veda5 and I came back with a heart full of gratitude.

Sometimes all we need is to slow down. To step away from our usual routine and give ourselves the time and space to breathe, listen and reconnect.

And one of the most beautiful parts was having time with my family.

Life gets busy, everyone has their own routines and sometimes we don't realise how precious it is to simply sit together, talk, laugh, eat a meal and make memories. These are the moments we often take for granted but they are the ones we remember.

There was also time to meet new people, make new connections and enjoy being surrounded by so much greenery and nature.

Slow mornings, amazing food, Ayurvedic treatments, yoga, meditation, quiet moments and a little time doing nothing at all.

For me, it was about doing the things I love and giving myself the space to simply be.

I loved being looked after and surrounded by so much warmth and kindness. It never felt like just a wellness retreat. It felt like a place where I could truly switch off and be present.

Coming home with a grateful heart, beautiful memories and a gentle reminder that taking time for ourselves and the people we love is never time wasted.

Sometimes, that is exactly what we need.

I never expected a short break from social media to change so much.

I didn't do it because I wanted to disappear. I just wanted a little space from the constant scrolling, posting and checking my phone.

Slowly, I started noticing things I had been missing. I had more time for myself, for reading, for my yoga classes, for sitting in the garden and just being. I wasn't trying to distract myself from my feelings anymore. I simply let myself feel them.

I'm not leaving social media. I'll still be here. I just don't want to post for the sake of posting anymore. I want to share only when I have something that truly comes from my heart.

Have you ever taken a break from social media or from something that was constantly asking for your attention? I'd genuinely love to hear how it made you feel.

I've started to notice a pattern.

I somehow always end up surrounded by trees, open spaces, flowers, water, or simply somewhere green. I don't always plan it. It just happens.

Maybe we're drawn to the things that make us feel most like ourselves.

I love the way nature slows me down without asking me to stop. The way it makes me look up, look around, and notice things I would otherwise walk past.

A path, a tree, sunlight through the leaves, the movement of water, a patch of wild flowers... nothing extraordinary, yet somehow it always feels like enough.

Out of all the places I could be, these are the ones I keep returning to.

And I don't think that's by chance.

Somewhere in the middle of the week, we forget to pause. But the mat is always there waiting to ground you, energise you, and bring you back into flow. Let breath lead, movement follow, and the rest fall into place.

Cold hands and feet, constant fatigue, joint pain
and that strange feeling of being present but not
really there. These are not just random symptoms. They are all connected to one thing.

Vyana Vayu is the fifth and final vital force in
the body. When it flows freely, the
body feels alive, coordinated and connected.
When it weakens, everything starts to feel
heavy and distant.

This is the final part of the Pancha Vayus
series - five videos covering the five vital
forces that govern how we feel every single day.

Your voice getting stuck when it matters most is not a confidence problem. It is energy that has stopped rising.

Udana Vayu is the upward force in the body governing speech, expression and our ability to stand behind what we truly want to say. When it flows freely words come easily, creativity feels natural and the body literally stands taller.

Understanding this energy changes how you see yourself. Every time you speak your truth, use your voice or act on a creative impulse you are strengthening Udana Vayu. And the more you work with it, the freer that voice becomes.

Ever read something and completely forget it an
hour later? Or go through an experience without
feeling like you learned anything from it?

That is Samana Vayu asking for attention.

This third vital force sits at the centre of the
body at the navel and solar plexus. Its role is
to take everything life gives us and turn it into
something useful. When it is strong we feel clear,
motivated and grounded. When it weakens the mind feels foggy and nothing seems to land.

Our bodies are always communicating with us. Every symptom, every sensation, every feeling of being stuck - physically or emotionally is a message worth listening to.

In yoga, Apana Vayu teaches us that the body has a natural intelligence for release. When we understand this energy and work with it through movement, breath and awareness, we begin to understand ourselves on a much deeper level.

The more we tune in, the more the body reveals.
