Movement like this becomes a form of meditation.
When we take time to go inwards and tune into the inner workings of the body, the relationship between pelvis and legs, middle back and lower back, ribs and hips something begins to shift. Rather than exercising from the outside in, we work from the inside out.

We imagine bones moving. We notice muscles responding. We feel the pathways of nerves, blood, breath and weight. The sessions are educational, but deeply embodied - less about performance and more about experiencing movement from within. And in that attention gathers inwards.

There is less space for what’s for dinner, the unanswered email, work, the endless list of things to hold. The mind settles because it has somewhere real to be. In your body!

Whether it’s fifteen minutes, half an hour or a full session, these moments offer a small return to yourself. A chance to reconnect with the body, regulate the nervous system, and remember that underneath the noise, there is another rhythm available.

Quiet. Attentive. Alive 🌱

Alongside my 1:1 studio sessions, I’ve been building the Crackington Farmers’ Market a project that landed last year and without fully realising it at the time, has become an extension of the same work.

This studio work is rooted in sustainability in the body: helping people move with more ease, awareness and connection. The market feels like that same principle carried outward — into land, food, community and place.

Moving to wild North Cornwall has connected me to place more than ever. Living close to the land, the weather, the seasons and the edges of the natural world has had a real physical and emotional effect on me — a sense of regulation, vibrancy and belonging.

It has reminded me that we are not separate from nature. Preserving what remains of the natural world is not just ecological work, but human wellbeing work too.

The market brings that into daily life: seasonal produce, local growers, makers, conversation, children running around, shared tables, real food, real place, real connection — especially at a time when smartphones have become one of our main sources of contact.

In many ways, the market is another way of supporting the body. Not through Pilates alone, but through the wider conditions that help us feel well: land, rhythm, nourishment and community.

We dont get taught how to be in our body. Clients come with injury or postural related pain and the work begins with learning to connect with their physical body. Feeling whats it’s like to move from muscles, bones, nerves and organs. This is real contact that doesn’t leave you. It’s like a befriending of something that will hold you forever.

This work is about what you can take away with you. My favourite moments are when clients tell me they managed to work with their pain and stop their back from spasming or hip from twinging etc. It means they’ve mastered the art of listening to their body and befriended it stars ✨

Inside a session, we’re not chasing intensity.
We’re listening.
Adjusting.
Letting the body reorganise in its own time.

It’s slower than people expect,
and far more effective than they imagine.

Pictures from inside the rainforest and the last one from our living room.

We moved to Cornwall six years ago for the Atlantic coastline. I didn’t expect to find ancient rainforest here, and I’ve been quietly learning about it ever since.

I feel more alive in this landscape than anywhere I’ve been before. There’s a sense of home, and of wellbeing, that’s hard to name but easy to feel.

There’s a growing body of research around how temperate rainforest supports our health — I find it fascinating. It’s been shaping how I see the body, too.

The patterns here feel familiar.
The way everything interacts between body and ecology, internal and external — mirrors the nervous system in a way I can’t unsee now. This is becoming part of how I work.

Studio moments keep me grounded, attuned, and feeling as though I’ve come home.
Pilates has moved with me through different places and seasons of life — a quiet thread that keeps bringing me back to myself.
