What if the thing holding you back isn’t lack of motivation but something you’re yet to understand?
When life feels uncertain, our minds often default to self-criticism or avoidance.
It’s natural, our brains are designed to protect us from discomfort and the unknown.
But what if, instead of judging yourself, you became curious about yourself? 🤨
✨ Replace criticism with curiosity.
Instead of:
❌ “Why do I keep procrastinating?”
✅ “What might be holding me back right now?”
Instead of:
❌ “I should be better than this.”
✅ “What could I learn from this feeling?”
Neuroscience shows that curiosity activates areas of the brain linked to learning, motivation, and reward.
When we’re curious, we’re often less reactive, more open-minded, and better able to problem-solve. 👊
💭 “Curiosity is the wick in the candle of learning.” – William Arthur Ward
I love this quote…
The next time you feel stuck, pause and just gently ask yourself:
🔎 What’s really going on beneath the surface?
🔎 What might this resistance be trying to tell me?
🔎 What’s the smallest step I could take today?
Curiosity isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about creating space to explore, learn, and move forward with greater self-compassion.
If this resonates with you and you’d like support understanding what’s holding you back, without judgement or criticism, I’m here to help.
I offer Hypnotherapy &EFT (tapping) sessions online and in person in Burgess Hill and Hurstpierpoint.
📩 Send me a message to arrange an initial consultation to discover how you can start moving forward with more confidence and clarity.
I use what I teach on my own mind every day.
I get it.
I’ve been completing case studies this week for my advanced EFT course and I’ve had all the feels.
Getting started, where will I find the time, not knowing where to begin, doubt from old beliefs from childhood, time blindness but I redirect, dust myself off and begin!
I’ve tapped on it all. It’s amazing what our subconscious tells us when we speak to it.
You can too! 😌
