Jigsaw Occupational Therapy offers training and support to meet the needs of school staff, carers and parents. Director and practising occupational therapist, Vicky Ruffle, founded Jigsaw Occupational Therapy in 2010 in order to offer more effective and personalised therapy specifically designed around each individual child and young person’s needs and to train and assist school staff, parents and carers in supporting the child. Jigsaw OT are able to offer extensive and thorough assessments using standardised and informal assessment tools, direct therapy and advice for Sensory Processing Disorders, Setting-up and directing therapy in schools, workshops and training for parents and professionals, clinical supervision for OT and support staff and more.

A huge thank you to everyone who got involved in our fundraising week at Jigsaw OT. Through baking, selling and, of course, enjoying lots of delicious cakes, we raised an amazing £208! 🧁🍰

🍰💚 Macmillan Charity Week at Jigsaw OT! 💚🍰

From 21–25 September, we’ll be getting our bake on at the Jigsaw OT centre to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Our team will be putting their baking skills to the test, creating their best (and hopefully tastiest!) cake creations — which will then be auctioned off to our staff, families and friends, with every penny raised going to this fantastic charity.

Expect plenty of cake, a bit of friendly competition and, most importantly, the chance to raise money for a brilliant cause. 💚

Hot weather can have a significant impact on sensory processing and regulation.

For children and young people with sensory integration differences, heat, bright sunlight, changes in routine and physical discomfort can make it harder to stay regulated throughout the day.

Here are some simple Ayres Sensory Integration informed strategies to help support comfort and participation during the latest heatwave.

🧩 Comfortable clothing choices

What a fantastic day spent together Sea Lanes Brighton for our annual team wellbeing day!

From invigorating swims and relaxing sauna sessions to energising yoga, the day was all about taking time to recharge, connect and prioritise wellbeing. The experience was topped off with some amazing food and plenty of opportunities to catch up outside of our usual working environment.
