We are a day opportunity service for adults with learning disabilities. Our service is based in Burgess Hill.

On Friday, we had another fantastic trip to Amberley Museum, and this time we got to try out some different printmaking techniques! 🖌️

Using ink and natural materials such as leaves, everyone had the chance to experiment with creating prints and capturing all the different textures and markings. We even got to use the manual printing roller to bring our designs to life.🍃🍁

There was plenty more to enjoy too, including a fantastic tour of the site on the vintage bus, giving us the chance to explore even more of what the working museum has to offer. 🚌

A huge thank you to Luke at Culture Shift and the amazing artists for another brilliant session. Your friendly, encouraging and accessible approach makes it so easy for everyone to get involved, have a go and discover something new. ❤️

We’ve had such a great time on both of our visits and have loved getting creative, exploring and learning along the way!🌿🎨🚌✨

Last Friday, we had a fantastic trip to Amberley Museum, organised by Culture Shift, where we got to try something completely new… print making! 🖌️✨

Every had the opportunity to create their very own design before getting stuck in with the ink and press to bring their ideas to life! It was brilliant to see everyone getting creative, trying new things and proudly seeing their designs become prints. 🖼️👏

A huge thank you to the amazing artists who supported us throughout the workshop. Your friendly, welcoming and accessible approach made it so easy for everyone to get involved, while sharing your talents, skills and knowledge with us. We really appreciated your time and encouragement! 🌟 💙

Of course, we couldn’t visit Amberley Museum without exploring the site and hopping aboard the train! 🚂😁

And the best part… we’re going back next Friday! 🤩🎨

We can’t wait to continue developing our print making skills, learn new techniques and see what we can create next! 💙✨

What an incredible day we’ve had at our Burnside Summer Sixes Football Tournament! 🏆⚽️

A HUGE thank you to all of the teams who came along, got involved and brought such amazing energy to the day! And to all of our friends, supporters and everyone who came down to cheer us on. You helped make the tournament so special. 💙

There were plenty of goals, teamwork, laughter, cheering and, most importantly, lots of fun! It was brilliant seeing everyone getting stuck in, supporting each other and enjoying the day together. 🙌

We’ve already got the next one in mind… and we can’t wait to start planning Burnside Summer Sixes 2027! 😍⚽️

And finally, a massive THANK YOU to Consort Frozen Foods for bringing down over 70 ice creams to keep everyone cool and our energy levels high! You were absolute superstars! 🍦☀️

Our latest dance session was extra special, as one of our group members took the lead and choreographed a fantastic cheerleading routine for us! 🎶✨

With our Burnside Summer Sixes football tournament just a few days away, the group have been busy learning the routine, practising their moves and getting ready to cheer on our Burnside team in style! 🙌⚽

It was brilliant to see everyone getting involved, showing off their creativity and supporting each other along the way. We can’t wait to see the routine in action at the tournament! 📣💚

Afternoon Tea Week was the perfect excuse to gather with friends and enjoy the timeless British treat that is a cream tea! 🇬🇧☕️

Our Self Advocacy Group took the lead by doing their own online shopping and making sure they considered everyone’s dietary requirements, so that everyone could be included. 💚

Of course, no cream tea would be complete without the big question… cream or jam first? 👀

What started as a simple discussion quickly turned into a centre-wide debate! There were lots of laughs, plenty of strong opinions and, ultimately, no agreement! 😂

Everyone had a great afternoon and gave the following feedback:

“I feel like the Queen!” 👑 and “Sipping tea after having the scone is so nice, it goes so well together.” ☕️💕

A lovely afternoon filled with good food, great company and lots of laughter. What more could you ask for? 🥰

Our Thursday Cook My Lunch session has been a huge success recently, with everyone rolling up their sleeves and getting stuck in! 💪✨

From chopping and mixing to serving up delicious meals, participants have been building their kitchen confidence, developing valuable cooking skills, and learning the importance of food hygiene and kitchen safety along the way. 🥗🍝🧼

It's been fantastic to see everyone supporting one another, sharing tasks, and celebrating their achievements together.💙
