Online Survey: Community Micro-enterprises
Essex County Council and Thurrock Council are working together to improve and grow local Community Micro-enterprises (CMEs).
These are small, local businesses that provide personalised care and support services that often help with:
• support at home - such as personal care, meals, cleaning, shopping and running errands
• support getting people out into the community - such as activities, hobbies, therapies, learning new skills, day services and peer support
The Council’s Commissioners would like feedback from health and social care professionals, family carers and service users’ to help shape more flexible, community-based support and increase local choice for people who use care services.
No previous experience or knowledge of CMEs is needed as they would like to hear as many perspectives as possible.
Survey closes on the 21st June 2026
