There’s a little context behind why I’m spending part of my winter here, and it felt worth sharing.
Over the last year or so, my focus has been split — bridal hair and makeup has still very much been ongoing, but a huge amount of my time and energy has also gone into building The Harmonious Healing Hubs behind the scenes.
It’s something I truly believe in, and something that’s already changing people’s lives — we’re constantly receiving messages and voice notes from people sharing how much we've helped them, and that makes every sacrifice worth it.
Because I’ve chosen to reinvest so heavily into building that bigger picture, I’ve kept my own living costs incredibly simple. During December, January and February, that’s meant living in a small touring caravan — basic, but manageable, and something I’m completely capable of doing if it supports what I’m building long-term.
But this winter, I asked myself a different question:
How can I continue doing the hair and makeup work I love, while also supporting myself more sustainably alongside everything else I’m creating?
That’s what led me here, Thailand 🇹🇭
Not as an escape, and not as a luxury — but as a practical, work-led decision to continue offering hair and makeup seasonally, expand where I can work, and create a bit more ease while still pouring energy into something that supports so many others.
We’re now fully registered as a CIC, with directors in place, which means we can finally move forward with funding and start investing in all the right places. There’s a real sense of momentum building — and when I’m back, things are set to move a lot faster.
I still love what I do.
I’ve just learnt that sometimes the way you work — and where you work — can evolve to support the bigger picture.
And while the path might not always look conventional, it feels deeply aligned.
