Making decisions about care is rarely straightforward.

Whether itโ€™s after a hospital stay, a fall or simply noticing that daily life is becoming more difficult, families are often faced with important decisions at a time of stress and uncertainty. Too often these decisions need to be made quickly, without having the time to fully understand what level of support is needed.

Thatโ€™s why weโ€™ve created Smart Start.

Smart Start is a flexible 2-4 week home care service designed to give individuals and families the time, space and professional support needed to make informed decisions about future care. During this period, a dedicated care worker provides personalised support at home, helping with daily routines, personal care, companionship and practical assistance while gaining a real understanding of day-to-day needs.

Whether youโ€™re exploring care at home, considering a move into a care home, or simply unsure of the next right step, Smart Start allows you to experience care without pressure or long-term commitment.

No pressure. No commitment. Just time, support and clarity.

Making decisions about care for a loved one is rarely easy.

Whether it's following a hospital stay, a change in health, or growing concerns about managing at home, families are often asked to make important decisions at a time of uncertainty and emotional pressure.

That's why we're proud to introduce Smart Start. A new short-term care service designed to give individuals and families the time, support and reassurance they need to make informed decisions about future care.

By providing personalised support at home, Smart Start creates the space to explore options, understand care needs more clearly and move forward with confidence, without feeling rushed into long-term decisions.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Read more about how Smart Start is helping families navigate care decisions with greater clarity and peace of mind:

At Agincare, we understand that deciding on care for a loved one is rarely straightforward. It often comes at a time of uncertainty, such as after a hospital stay, following a change in mobility or health, or when families begin to realise that day-to-day support is becoming harder to manage.โ€ฆ

A fabulous day at Beaufort House celebrating Mental Health Awareness Day ๐Ÿ˜Š

Natasha, our manager, kindly treated all staff to chocolates, notebooks, and key rings, and kept an open door throughout the day so staff could pop in for a chat and support โ€” she really is a good egg! ๐Ÿซโœจ

We also welcomed a fantastic Ukulele group who had both residents and staff up dancing and singing along to some of their favourite tunes ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ’ƒ

A lovely day full of positivity, music, laughter, and support for one another ๐Ÿ’™

What a birthday Dorothy had โ€” celebrating her 106th! ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‚

She was joined by her daughters and family, making it a truly special day. Here at Beaufort House, we treated her to balloons and a lovely homemade cake, and Burnham-on-Sea.com also stopped by for a chat.

A wonderful day filled with cake, tea and celebrations โ€” well deserved, and certainly time for a nap afterwards! ๐Ÿ’›

Here at Beaufort House, we are welcoming the beautiful spring! ๐Ÿ’

We have taken one of our ladies shopping to Tesco to buy some treats to put in our tuck shop, she make a great job of it. We also did some Easter art with Margaret. Book club was a brilliant morning with so many residents joining in, which is lovely, especially when you hear them singing, laughing, and being so happy!

Another of our residents wanted to make cakes for everyone, like she used to when living at home for all her family, which she did, and they were gone so fast ๐ŸŽ‚

We also went on a mystery tour, and we headed for Cheddar Gorge and went all the way up. From there, we travelled through many beautiful villages, including Wedmore, that the residents enjoyed. We stopped where we could for a drink and snack. We then travelled on, and we could see Glastonbury.

We travelled back to Burnham with a full van of happy Beaufort House residents! It was such an excellent trip.

Beaufort House residents had a brilliant trip to the pantomime ๐ŸŽญโœจ

A few residents asked if they could go, so we made it happen and took four residents who requested it ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘ They had a fantastic time cheering, laughing, and getting fully involved, and they even got a special mention too! ๐ŸŽ‰

We also welcomed the Weston-super-Mare Ukulele Group ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿฅ What fun everyone had playing tambourines and castanets, and joining in with all the songs. Sweet Caroline really brought the roof down! ๐Ÿ˜„๐ŸŽค

Our residents have already asked for them to come back soon ๐Ÿ’› All the money they raise goes to the childrenโ€™s hospice, and they won a Weston-super-Mare award last year for raising thousands of pounds ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŒŸ

We always encourage families and friends to pop in and make themselves at home ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿก
