If you walk down Manchester Road in Burnley, you might not notice the unassuming business front nestled in between Duckworths and Reeds Rains estate agents.

But behind the shop front lies something of a Burnley stalwart – Woodland Assist Global.

Husband and wife team Andy and Jacqueline Woodland have built up the business and personal immigration organisation since 2015, when Jacqueline was a self-employed contractor and a valued employee for London firms. The couple were living in Hampshire when Andy retired in 2016 and they decided to have a change of lifestyle and move to Burnley.

“My family actually lived in Burnley; my father, a welder, made canal boats. My family are originally from Guyana in South America. We sold everything in Hampshire and made the move, although I did have to commute to London for the first two years,” Jacqueline told Burnley.co.uk.
