Your nervous system plays a bigger role in sleep than you might think.

To truly wind down at night, your body needs to shift into a parasympathetic state, often called “rest and digest.” This is when recovery, relaxation, and quality sleep happen.

But when stress stays high, your system remains on alert, making it harder to switch off. Here are some simple habits to help:

• Reduce stimulation in the evening
• Create calming routines
• Give yourself intentional time to unwind
• Keep yourself hydrated

Over time, supporting your nervous system = better sleep and overall wellbeing.
