Everyone loves to see Chris, the training is helping with mobility, they have fun and cheer each other on!
They also love wearing the cones on their heads!

Our raised flower beds were looking very sorry for themselves, with the heat that we’ve had,
and thinking about conserving water and the fact that the residents were weeding some of our newer plants…
We talked about trying some artificial flowers.
Chris came with me to the local shops and chose some flowers to try.
Val and her daughter Penny planted them and they looked lovely.
Our residents have been weeding since and moved them around, but this time they still look colourful.
We will be filling the other raised beds too, the residents love the activity and it will also support the local shops and save water.
If anyone has any artificial flowers they could donate it would be lovely and very much appreciated.

Our residents absolutely love it when we have a visit from the children, and our Paddington bear (Corey) didn’t disappoint them!
He wanted to come back and see everyone and show off his new Paddington bear outfit, everyone agreed he looked a very handsome bear.
He also brought his own Harrods bear to show everyone, and the residents gave it a cuddle when he had a snack break, did some colouring and had a game of darts!
We will be putting up the World map and the holiday postcards,
thank you to Chris’s daughter Karen for buying it for us, it was very kind of you.
It’s been lovely reminiscing about past holidays and Corey helped our residents find different Countries on his interactive globe.
Thank you to Rachel for all your help and for bringing Corey in.
We also had marmalade on crackers, which went down really well.
We will be having another visit later in the month so everyone on the nursing floor can meet Paddington,

We had Global Tiger Day, and through our quiz we learnt facts about the tigers.
Well done to June B for winning the quiz!
As you may know, tigers are at a huge risk of extinction, they are that rare that even the tiger mask I bought was hiding in my cupboard!
We did have fun with the other masks and chatted about them.
