We are so proud to be sponsoring Doveridge FC and their upcoming Presentation Day! It is one of those occasions that reminds us how much heart and dedication goes into local football, from the players who give their all on the pitch, to the families who cheer them on every step of the way.

Bluebird Care Burton & Swadlincote will be sponsoring the penalty shootout, and we will also have some goodie bags to hand out on the day. It is our small way of saying thank you to a club that brings people together and keeps that wonderful community spirit alive.

Last week our Care Manager, Jess, and Staff Development and Engagement Lead, Louise, had the privilege of visiting Murrays Funeral Directors in Burton.

We were warmly welcomed and given a tour of their branch, where we gained a valuable insight into the compassionate care and support, they provide to families and their loved ones. The team shared their values with us, and it was clear to see how these are reflected in everything they do.

It was wonderful to take part in their "Our Care After Yours" training session, learning more about the important role they play in supporting families at such a difficult time. The session provided a deeper understanding of the care, dignity, and respect that underpins everything they do.

Thank you to the team for taking the time to share your knowledge, experience, and dedication with us. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the opportunity to strengthen our understanding of the support available within our local community. 💙

We are delighted to share details of our upcoming FREE Community Dementia Awareness Training, designed for anyone who wants to increase their understanding of dementia and learn practical ways to support those living with the condition.

Whether you're caring for a loved one, working with older adults, employed within health and social care, or simply interested in learning more, this session will provide valuable insights into:

✅ Understanding dementia and its different forms
✅ Recognising the impact on individuals and families
✅ Effective communication techniques
✅ Practical ways to support someone living with dementia in the community
